2018 Porsche Macan consumer reviews

This car was a gift to my mom and she enjoys driving it. Very easy to drive. Comfortable and compact enough to control options are great.

Fast, handles exceedingly well and the 18 way seats are superb. I can put my road bike in the back with the second row seats folded down. It has exceeded my expectations. The only negative is the infotainment system. The screen is too small and it is overly complex.

I leased this car mainly due to it's looks and color. I didn't need a new car as I had just gotten a new car 2 weeks before. But what has surprised me is how great it performs. I wasn't expecting performance from the 2.0 liter 248 hp engine but it gives much stronger performance than you would ever think. This is the base model. You don't need an S or Turbo. With the full leather interior, 20" Spyder wheels & Sapphire Blue color it feels and looks terrific. However the park assist program which is standard; doesn't work even after it was replaced. You have to turn it off every time you start the car. I asked Porsche to disable it but they won't do that. I haven't found an independent service shop here since I recently moved to this area but when I do I will have it disabled thru the computer. Besides this one thing I highly recommend this car.

Incredible ride and handling for a Crossover. No other brand of crossover compares to the Macan. I would buy this car again. The only negative is the pricing for options.

The SUV market is pretty crowded these days, and there are many good choices out there. I chose the Macan because it was right sized for my application. In addition, it has the right balance of performance and luxury for me.

After 45 years of driving Saab's (after considering alternatives at each purchase), time ran out on that option. After considering several alternatives, I became a member of the Porsche family and owner of a Macan this past week. The attributes I valued most in my Saabs - confident steering and handling, seamless acceleration at any speed, and easily controlled braking are easily equal or superior in my new ride. The overall driving experience is more than satisfying to me, I'm very, very pleased. The only negatives are a slightly stiffer suspension and cabin storage space; although compliant and not jarring, the ride vs handling is not quite the perfect balance of the Saab sedans and sportswagons I have owned, but better than the Mercedes 230 and Toyota 4-Runner my wife drives. The other nit-pick is the lack of storage space accessible to the driver. Ignore the stars on reliability; I can't submit this review without assigning a rating. We'll see if the reliability matches Porsche's recent rankings, and if I can get the same high mileage reliability I got from my Saab's (1990 models and later). With the extended, 64 month warranty that came with a certified preowned, that concern is just a curiosity at this point in time.

Long time BMW owner. This car exceeded my expectations. After driving the Macon S, buying a BMW X3 or X5 was not an option. The Macon interior is better quality and the exterior look is much more appealing than the boxy BMW look. If you are looking for handling, Porsche edges out BMW in my opinion. Also own a M3 and am looking to swap into a Porsche Cayman.

The Macan meets all my family's needs. It's stylish and sleek. A very comfortable ride. It has plenty of leg room and space for additional passengers and transporting larger items. It's features are incredible, especially the heating and cooling seats. The built in Bose system provides great sound. If you're looking for a vehicle that has it all, but isn't too large but large enough, look no more. The Macan is it.

Fit and finish is Porsche excellent. Awesome driver. Incredibly quiet interior. Exceeded my expectations in every way. I would buy another Porsche again, and I have owned BMW, Lexus, Mercedes.
