Consumer Reports #1 SUV is My #1 too

I did a ton of research and I went with Consumer Reports #1. It was a great decision. My family and I love it! It presses all the buttons - Comfort, convenience, reliability, handling, performance, etc.

The only true all wheel drive system!

Meet all requirements I was looking for, where others lacked one thing or another. This vehicle has more room than we expected! The navigation system is very easy to use, and very precise.

Great 8 seater with AWD

Big 8 seater with room for grown ups to sit in the third row. AWD standard and it drives more like a car than a truck.

So far so awesome

I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee for almost 7 years and I thought that car was great, but decided to make a switch and I’m so thankful I did. The Ascent is awesome. My only qualm is the turbo whine, but it’s really not bad. I’m sure I’ll get used to it. There’s so much to love about this car.

Very comfortable ride

Great vehicle. I was looking for a comfortable 3 row SUV. The ride is amazing; rivaling much more expensive luxury SUVs. Boxer engine and CVT provide very smooth power. Turbo provides the extra kick when needed. Controls and Infotainment system are very easy to use; unlike many other vehicles. Some people complain about the touchy accelerator pedal; but now that I am used to it, I actually like it. Other competitors had a quieter cabin and more room in the back, but not enough to sway my decision to go with the Ascent. I test drove many vehicles for many hours each and I am very happy with my decision.

Great features, great in snow!

Traded in an outback and love the additional room and smoother ride. No problems with turbo engine or cvt transmission. Great comfort and safety features.

VERY POWERFUL FOR A 4-CYLINDER SUBARU

I love my Ascent ! The only thing I would like to see change in the interior is a WIDER area behind the 2nd row of seats to allow my pitbull to get into the car and hop up into the back -- it is 2 narrow for his broad shoulders so I must let him in behind the passenger seat and he has to jump up on the 2nd row seat behind the passenger seat and then up into the folded down seat (2nd row) to get into the back. Cumbersome. And the overhead courtesy lights (above, in middle of driver's/passenger's seat is a little blinding / too bright. Other than that the car is great! Everything else is wonderful about the car
