Getting close to a self-driving car

Its very comfortable and easy to drive. I have never had a Suburu or any kind of SUV before, and I am glad I chose this one to be my first. There are so many safety features in this vehicle! In some ways, its like driving a big computer, and there is a bit of a steep learning curve. I am "informed" by Siri and/or a sound and/or a flashing screen of any lane departure that I have not signalled for or if a vehicle is in my blind spot. The cruise control automatically slows me down if I come up too close behind a slower moving vehicle. The high beam headlights dim automatically when another car approaches. The backup camera is a nice feature, too. The sound system is great. The only downside I can find so far in 3 weeks of driving this vehicle is the navigation system is not nearly as good as Google Maps, nor is it intuitively easy to use. Since I am directionally challenged, I need a great nav system so will probably go back to using the one on my phone with Google Maps. The interior is nicely done; I got the leather heated seats. They all seem to come with orange stiching; I could do without that but its OK. There is not much storage space in the front, though..the glove compartment is rather small and I am still trying to figure out where to fit in all my personal items. All in all, I am happy I have joined others in my family who swear they will always buy Suburus! I am longer the Outlier.

SO FAR SO GOOD

I had a 2009 Santa Fe Sport prior to this car. So far (3K miles) I love it a lot except for interior NOISE. The gear shifting is too loud. It is way noisier than the 'old' car. Other than that, its great. Still getting used to backup camera. Love the navigation and hotel/gas etc. locations which I used driving across country.

2017 Subaru Crosstrek

This is an excellent vehicle that has offered significant improvements in technology and features with each new model. The 2017 is the best yet. I have owned and driven 2015 and 2016 Crosstreks previously. I liked them all. They are an incredible value for the price. The car is nimble in handling, the styling is appealing, and the economy is great for an AWD vehicle.

Subarific

It is a Subaru so it has wonderful reliability and lots of value packed into a compact package. The only reason I am not doing cartwheels down the street is that after seeing the release of the 2018 Crosstrek I am disappointed that it did not share the interior updates and Global Platform of the 2017 Impreza, which have now been incorporated into the 2018 version. I know it is nit picking but I love the details of the new line of Subarus. I guess it will give me something to look forward to in the future.

Awesome!

Subaru made a few new improvements to the Crosstrek making it sleeker and sporty. The new transmission has a lot more pick up. Crosstrek really needed this change. The Crosstrek has been great so far!

Love my new Subaru

This was my first new car experience. Started with an appt. and directions with Ivon on line. Met with Austin who made it so easy from start to finish and I had a car I love. Nicole was great, she went over all the features inside the car.
