I bought this 2019 cross trek from Hunter Subaru

Go see Scott McDougall at Hunter Subaru in Hendersonville NC. I thought it was hopeless but they came through for us. Top notch dealership, facilities and outstanding sales staff & management. 5 stars are not enough! I love this vehicle. Glad I bought it.

Stylishly Spartan

Route types: 70% backroad ; 30% freeway Driving style: 90% relaxed/cruise ; 9% aggressive/sport ; 1% utility Got the premium model (w/o eyesight) met all expectations plus a few unexpected plus features. Comfortable, functional and practical. Getting 34-35mpg.

My 2019 Snow Experience

Finally got to take my Crosstek out in a decent storm.120 mile trip was from Camino ca to Silver Springs Nevada during a sever storm on Dec 7,2019 aprox 1" per hour turning into snow in higher elevation. Experience 40+ years living in the Sierra Mountains. Pros -- handle both Rain/Snow road condition extremely well never had to use Xmode, deepest snow was 8" in parking lot unplowed. Cons -- Severe build up of snow on front of car causing A.) Snow build up on headlights had to stop twice to clean off B.) couldn't use fog lights due to snow build up C.) right side of windshield had snow build up due to wiper blade not long enough to get entire right side of windshield. D.) Outside temp gauge was stuck on 32 until snow melted off of front of car. E.) EyeSight stopped working. None of the Cons effected the road performance of this vehicle the vehicle itself handled great

Nice car with several problems

Just bought new 2019 limited with upgraded nav and infotainment, and got a good price for it. However, relied too much on reviews and didn't do an adequate test. The crosstrek is very dark looking out the small rear window, and backing up at night requires complete dependence on camera. The autodimming mirror is too dark when driving at night, and dimming has to be disabled every time the vehicle is restarted. The mirror itself is jammed up against the eyesight plastic and can't be aligned properly for >6' driver. There is also some lurching when shift out of reverse into forward and start to move forward. Other less important things are the cargo gate rises up way to high for <5'2" driver, and the Harmon audio lacks adjustments common even on base radios and sounds poorly at low to moderate volumes. Everyone considering the crosstrek should take a test drive at night and thoroughly evaluate it to see if it is suitable for them. This is a car most suitable for young people who are into the style. Should have gone with the Outback.

Safe, Reliable and Very Attractive

I love my new 2019 Cross Trek! It’s a very safe car with good mileage. It’s comfortable, easy to drive and has all the bells and whistles you could want. I like that I sit higher and have good visibility. It’s a great size - big enough for my 6’ husband, plenty of storage yet easy to park. And good on the Garden State Parkway and NJ Turnpike.

Fun to drive but SAFETY #1

I purchased my first crosstrek this year and was in a serious collision but walked out without a scratch. Therefore it was an obvious choice to return and purchase another Crosstrek! Plus the comfort, features and drive is great.
