Great Vehicle!

Solid Ride. Handles well on the highway as well as back roads. Love the heated seats! Nice visibility with the large windows. Cup holders are well placed. All over good choice.

Vince killed it, great service.

For the year and cost, the vehicle is perfect. Performs like a model 4-5 years older than it. Great safety features, no issues with anything with the car at all. Gas mileage is decent for the model, not optimal, but I knew that buying the car.

Was good at first

At first loved this vehicle but quickly outgrew it, lack of fuel economy compared to newer vehicles also helped the time to change. Love the concept of subaru's all wheel drive system but the boxer engine is in great need of updating! Timing belt needs replacement at 105k miles but still can grenade at any time, not worth the risk or money to me

Love our Subaru

We've put over 113k miles on our Forester with minimal issues and maximum piece of mind. It's been our family vehicle for the past 4 years. The AWD with winter tires in our Vermont winters is unbeatable. It comfortably fits both carseats in the back seat and has plenty of cargo space for our bags and dog.

New to me

Just got this forester from J an M. The car runs great. So far we really like it the car is reasonably quiet, smooth acceleration and stops well. Good cargo carrying capacity.

Oil leaker, less reliable than I hoped

I have about 65K miles on this Forester. Yes, it is okay in snow, but the oil consumption is not acceptable. I have driven several cars over 200,000 miles never having to add oil between 5,000 to 6,000 mile oil changes (I always use Mobil 1). This car has had more repairs and things breaking than I expected from a Subaru.

Family workhorse

Safe, reliable, and hold its value. Spacious and has allowed for years of travel loaded with kids and sports equipment all over the state of Colorado.

Reliable Safe Smooth

We needed a good family car with leg room to accommodate a passenger with carseats in back. The Subaru is a great reliable car, lots of room and exception safety standards. We chose the Forester and it has met all of our needs.

Most reliable car

pros Standard all-wheel drive roomy cabin with ample cargo space comfortable ride This is a very good overall package and an excellent value. Car is very sure-footed in rain and snow. Has comfortable ride and seats. Excellent visibility, has responsive brakes, steering, highly maneuverable, great sun roof - helps cool car quickly, responsive engine - a bit noisy on cold start, but smooth and quiet thereafter, excellent hauling capacity with rear seats folded, 4-speed AT is a bit antiquated, but shifts smoothly and is responsive. Integrated TomTom GPS & w/audio/video takes some time to figure out, but is not hard to use thereafter once you understand the controls.
