It would be a great car if not for the engine

The vehicle has a great look to it, the interior and cargo room is great and the extra large sunroof is awesome. Where the car lacks is the engine. Apparently the 2011 version and some other surrounding years have a huge design issue with the engines where they constantly burn oil excessively. My two stroke weed eater burns less oil per hour than this car. The engine would normally burn about 1 to 1.5 quarts every 1,000 miles.

Has done everything asked, I service it frequently

Subaru made this car to last! I expect to have it another 10 years. Buy a used one if you can find one. Not as good gas mileage as the newer ones but solidly built

Fantastic and functional

The 2011 Subaru Forester is very functional, comfortable, and easy and safe to drive. The best AWD system available, nimble, good power, and plenty of space.

Love this vehicle!

An earlier version of this vehicle saved my father's life. He experienced an aura while driving and drove into the woods. Hit holders, trees, etc and got out of the car with only a scratch on his arm. The underneath was totaled. With the Liberty Mutual new car replacement, we got the 2011 within a few days.

Seems durable

This car is what just I was looking for! Although it's compact outside it's spacious inside, smooth to drive, steady, with all wheel drive. My only complaint so far is it seems loud when starting and shifting speed significantly, so hopefully the engine isn't racing, but once you're at the same speed for ~15 or so seconds, it levels and quiets. I'm very pleased with this purchase so far. Once I see it longer term through the winter I'll give an updated review.

Great reliable car

Great for traveling and hauling equipment family or outdoor sporting equipment. Acceleration is slow however. Overall worthy of the price. Would recommend to any family or handy worker.
