Twas almost the night before Christmas.....
Our Subaru saved our lives tonight! Those airbags deployed beautifully when that idiot tried to beat the red light, speeding straight toward us and totaled our car, head on! We walked away after we were cut out of all the protective airbags! Oh my God, thank you EMTs and Subaru! I opened my eyes, hands shaking to feel like I was in a cocoon! Truth!

One of the best AWD SUV I have owned
Has plenty of features. Wide angle back camera is awesome. During the snowy/icy weather I never had to think about whether the road is cleaned and salted or not.

Very reliable winter vehicle
Great car all around except infotainment and nav screen. Better than any other cars with their phoney paid for jd. Power awards don't listen to their bogus ratings on this car it's far superior to any Chevy or Ford small SUV in reliability and winter performance. my wife and I both own this same vehicle she has the touring version I have the limited version and neither of us have had any problems in over 3 years.

Excellent, practical choice
I'd highly recommend the Forester to anyone looking for a reliable crossover. I've had mine for a couple of months. It handles well, has good pick-up when you accelerate, is adequately roomy, I feel safe driving it. It's not fancy, but looks respectable. I researched crossovers thoroughly before buying and am convinced I made a good choice. Toyota Highlander and Honda CRV were also on my short list. I gave 4 not 5 stars on interior design for these small disappointments: the arm rest between the front seats is smooth, domed and elevated and my purse always slides off it to plop annoyingly onto the floor in the back (prior vehicle held it in place); no readily accessible secure metal rings inside the back hatch frame to clip bungee cords to if you have a long load that won't allow you to lose the hatch and need to tie down instead. There are a couple of small molded plastic circles on either side that look breakable.

I drove a rental Subaru Forester for 3 weeks when my car was totaled. It won me over, so I had to buy one. Love this car.

Good, all around car
This car is good at most things, super spacious, decently fuel efficient, great all wheel drive. I do wish it had a little more guts when accelerating and a smoother ride but really a great car all around. I have around 85k miles and the car still seems brand new. I would consider buying another.

Great vehicle for 2 to 3 years.
Unless you don't use the radio or the navigation unit I guess you will be satisfied with this vehicle, otherwise it sucks when they want to charge 1800.00 to replace a radio/nav system that is only 2 to 3 years old.

Best SUV I have ever owned.
This car suits me and my wife and both our driving habits which are different. We?re both very happy with the exterior design and we love the color. The interior fits our bodies just fine and the seats are highly adjustable to ensure our comfort. We bought it because it had a lot more safety features than our previous 2014 Forester which we also loved. We feel very safe driving this AWD car in all types of weather which is what we have here in NH. We have only had to do routine maintenance and the cost of service always seemed reasonable. The gas mileage is also great ranging from 26 around town to 31 on the highway. We really feel we got our money?s worth with this one which we have over 47,000 miles on and are considering buying the 2019 version as well.
