Superior for low back & mobility issues.

This car met our family needs. Gas mileage is very good for commuting and very supportive for passenger comfort. Wide doors for easy entry for physically impaired passengers, and loads of leg room. Although better than most, the thickness of the descending support for the right arm rest puts uncomfortable pressure on lateral knee bone. Must adjust seat to partially avoid.

70,000 mile review from the Pioneer Mtns

No mechanical or electrical problems so far. Fuel economy 22-28 mpg at highway speeds, 300 miles for sure on a tank of gas. Wet road and snow traction is excellent with General Altimax Arctic or Hankook Ipike tires. Switched to Subaru 16? steel wheels, 16x6.5, these are spare tire wheels for year 2012 or older. Good low speed acceleration, acceptable highway passing power. Steering wheel adjusts up/down and in/out which is helpful. Good brakes. Good visibility from inside to outside. Nice heavy duty floor mats, much better than aftermarket. For first 11,000 miles, switched to 5w-30 conventional oil with oil changes every 3k miles. I saved the oil and filter and reinstalled in the car after 11,000 miles. At this point switched back to 0w-20 full synthetic oil. Current oil consumption is less than 1 quart between 6000+ mile oil changes. Fine print in manual said 5w-30 was ok. Interior heater / defroster when below freezing best to let the car warm up for at least 10 minutes so windshield can defrost. Seat covers stain easy, clean-up water stains them too. Delay of vehicle movement shifting from forward to reverse or back, have to plan for this lag time.

Fun to drive, does what it is supposed to do!

So far, I am very happy with my Forester. Plenty of power, enough space, fun to drive. It's not the most sportiest looking compact SUV, but still it is very decent looking.

I love Subarus!

I traded an older Forester for a newer Touring. This was the 3 rd subaru I?ve owned and I will never buy another brand. The quality, safety options, visibility, turning radius far succeeds any other cars I have owned

Extremely pleased. Meets our list of desires.

We are extremely satisfied with this car. It is a used vehicle but has a Suburu Certification of quality. Drives like a dream, great power, tight turn radius, beautiful. Has all the bells and whistles I wanted.

The National Car of Oregon

We moved to Oregon from a much warmer and dryer climate two years ago. After two snowy winters we decided we needed a vehicle to handle the wet and snow of Portland in the winter plus my occasional commute to Seattle for work. After observing the locals driving an abundance of Subarus gave one a try. It is the best wet weather car I have ever had, and I've had a passle of Volvos, the AWD coupled to the CVT are a well balanced combination. I have not been a fan of CVT's in the past, but Subaru has balanced the boxer torque curve well with the CVT, it doesn't "hunt" on power or grade changes like others of this ilk do. Some say the normally aspirated 2.5L boxer four is under powered but I found it just right for what I need. This is not a sports car, it is an SUV in every sense of the word. On my commute I consistently get 32mpg at the 70mph speed limit on the I-5 between Portland and Seattle. Around town in traffic I see 21mpg which is great for a vehicle with this much utility. My passengers are impressed with the leg and head room in the back seat. At stoplights it is not uncommon to see three other Subarus here, it is truly the National Car of Oregon.

Most comfortable and quick response for me!

This car is the bomb! It looks great, it's comfortable in all 5 seats with plenty of legroom. It has a leather interior. It is has a turbo boost so it's response time is great!. It has a Harmon-Karden stereo system with Sirius enabled radio, CD player , USB for plugging my iPhone and it will play the music on my phone. there are so many options I cannot tell you all of them. I love my car!

Deceived by consumer reports

Purchased My First Subaru for my wife , a 2016 Subaru Forester because of all the great things I have been and told and read. I am at 46,000 miles and have had 6 extra repair trips to the dealership for faulty parts which Subaru is fully aware of . The EYESIGHT option does not work in the rain or when the weather gets really hot . I had it maintained by the dealership who were really nice but the car is full of faulty electrical parts. The latest is the sensors in the passenger seat turn the airbags on and off randomly. If I had not purchased the extended warranty I would have had to pay thousands already even after they have admitted the parts are faulty. Buyer beware consumer reports is lying.
