Very reliable, comfortable

I wouldn't own anything but a Subaru product based on the last four years of ownership. Our 2014 Outback is second to none with outstanding handling in snow and icy conditions.

Great price. Roomy, AWD

I am 6?3? and my spouse is 5?3?. It is perfect for both of us. If the seat is all the way back, I have too much room. Really nice instrument panel.

I upgraded from 2003 to 2014

I didnt want a newer vehicle until i test drove this. Very nice. I took a trip in it and only 2 negs is passenger front seat is less than the drivers. Also it doesnt have a compass. Best thing? The drive, comfort and zip.

Nice driving car with excellent gas mileage.

Wish seats were more comfortable. Stylish body style with excellent access for carrying items. Not overly happy with the type of transmission used by Subaru

Reliable, good looking and extremely functionable

This vehicle serves all of my needs. It is very comfortable to drive, easy to operate, has the storage of a wagon and looks great!

Subaru

Very smooth ride. Well thought out interior design. So much to like. It could use a little more pep under the hood. But will get you there in comfort.

Car Carrier Chattering Problem

For Subaru 2014 Outback with large engine (3.5li ?) With a car carrier (have tried two, Yakima and Subaru car carriers), when the outside temperature gets above the low 80s and speed of 60 mph there is a constant deafening noise chattering at about in the neighborhood of 220 Khz. As temperature and speed decline the chattering becomes intermittent. We travel mostly in areas where temperature remains below 75 degrees so no issues. We really like our Subaru except for this issue. The 3 years in trying to deal with Subaru (both dealer and corporate) has been the most frustrating car problem we have ever had to deal with. We have sent them much recorded data including sound recording. We have been assured our problem was being investigated high level technical individuals but then no one ever gets back to us. We have sent in details where this was a problem, e.g. driving across South Dakota at 90+ degrees with constant chattering for 8 hours. Certainly we have tried all sorts of things and experiments. We contacted Yakima and the told us it was a known problem with 2013 and 2014 Subaru Outbacks and that Subaru had a solution (possible a specific dealer). So, so, unbelievably frustrating. We live in an area where temperature rarely gets into the region where the problem happens. We were asked to bring this into the dealer when it happened. We had some unusual hot weather, the problem was happening, and we took it into the dealer and they said we would have to pay to have them look at the issue because the car was out of the warranty period. I then went and talked to the general manager and he was able to replicate the sound as it is also made with some noise instrument used in soccer games. What really shocked me he found there was absolutely no record of all the times we contact Subaru on this issue in our cars record. He assured us as the problem was on-going, the issue would still be under our warranty. He would get back to us. As we told him, we were leaving on a trip and again had a very bad day going across Nevada with temperatures at 90+. We sent e-mail report as requested when we have problems. We never ever got a response. From other sources we probably won't get a response because it may go to a recall issue and since it is not safety related "Subaru" just wants it to go away. Going back, Subaru assured us if we used Subaru equipment we would not have a problem. But that is most definitely not true. Very frustrated.

Nice upgrade for family of 5

Love this car- best fit we could find for taking three teenage boys, husband and self traveling- skiing, camping, biking. Only complaint- wish the gas mileage was better- coming from a pontiac vibe I'm filling up at the gas station more often.
