Touring trimline 3.6r
This is my 3rd Subaru and definitely the best. The tech safety features are outstanding. The 6 cylinder has what was missing in the four. Cargo area is great. The bells and whistles are standard on the Touring trim line.

Excellent ride and lots of amenities
Excellent ride and lots of amenities. I have the 2019 Subaru premium with package 15… Has everything that I was looking for including blind spot detection, automatic dimming headlights automatic dimming rear view mirror… The vehicle rides nice has decent acceleration… Lots of room for passengers and gear… The Subaru all-wheel-drive is the best in the business… The only drawback is that the vehicle is rated at 32 miles per gallon highway. In Britain and Australia I am under the impression a diesel option is available coming in at around 50 miles per gallon… someday maybe a diesel will be available… Or perhaps the gasoline version will increase to 45 miles per gallon in the next two years. We can only hope.

I was looking at an Audi Q5 and then....
I owned an Outback 25 years ago and loved the car... driving a BMW X1 now and was in the market for a new car with more cargo space. I was convinced I wanted an Audi Q5 but was disappointed by the lack of cargo space and what did not come standard on the car. I was also not impressed with the handling. For the price I expected so much more. Next door to the Audi dealership was a Subaru dealership and I told my husband I wanted to just check out the new Outback. He was delighted. I drove the 2019 Touring model with the larger engine. WOW! We bought it on the spot. I've been driving it for a few weeks and I love it. Handling (while not exactly a luxury car, it is pretty xxxx well close). All the safety features and bells and whistles are standard and make me feel safer driving. It is a very comfortable ride, more room all around from cargo to seating. Heated steering wheel, heated back seats great stereo round out the package. We live in Colorado and I already know that it will do well in the snow and on back roads. Got more for less buying the Outback vs the Q5 (and will not spend all my time and money in the shop like my friends who drive Audi's).

First six cylinder car I have owned
This car has all the bells and whistles and I couldn’t be happier with it. All my previous cars have been four cylinders and the difference with them and the six cylinder is like night and day. It also has a CVT. With the two together acceleration is quick and smooth and the car is fun to drive. The safety features are all new to me and are taking a little getting used to but I already see their value. And the ride is quiet and comfortable. Now instead of dreading long trips I am looking forward to them.

It's a wagon that goes well through the snow
I've owned this car for 4500 miles and a little over four months. The car is very smooth on the road, and has adequate handling. The CVT transmission, while seeming better than those of Chrysler products I've driven in the past, still feels like garbage. The flappy paddles are its only saving grace for merging onto the highway. I am quite pleased with the interior quality, with the exception of the driver's side front seat. The lower portion of the seat back sticks out just far enough to cause discomfort. Don't even bother trying to use the lumbar support; it makes it downright uncomfortable. The fuel economy is rather disappointing for a car I drive responsibly. Typically average around 23 mpg (using the miles/gallons every fill up) with mixed driving and a light foot. However, the onboard electronics claim it's closer to 26mpg... The car is quite roomy inside with a decent amount of cargo area. Coming from a first generation xB, that you could darn near hang a ceiling fan in, I wish the Outback had a bit more headroom. This car feels very stable and predictable in the snow. You have to try to get it stuck. All in all, it's a decent vehicle. I just don't feel the love for it. I tend to hold onto my cars for a while. The last was a 2006 with 207k miles on it when it got wrecked. I really cannot see myself keeping this car through the end of my loan term though.

Im in love with my outback
Safety features go above and beyond. The basic model is loaded with features that you pay for in other cars. And the new body style is attractive.

Great Car
The 2019 Subaru Outback meets all of our needs, particularly the safety features and ease of driving. The 6 cylinder gives us nice pick-up, and the comfort level inside is wonderful. The best feature for us is the safety. Between all of the alerts (car too close to car ahead, drifting, back up, blind side, etc.) and side bags and the solid frame, we feel safe in the vehicle. And its so easy to drive. The Startlite feature is nice too.

This is the best handling car I've ever owned.
The electronic and safety features are unmatched. Tremendous value for the money. I love driving this car. Driving is now such a pleasure. I'm retired and sorry I'm not still commuting so I could drive this car everyday.

Most comfortable car I’ve owned
I’ve always owned a Chevy and I decided I wanted to try something different. I love my new Subaru!! I previously had a Chevy Equinox and it took me a year to prove to them there was an engine oil usage problem when they already had a bulletin about it. I heard from friends how great Subaru’s were so I bought one and absolutely love it!!!

Good compromise between small SUV and sedan.
Very happy with ride, safety features, fit, finish, quality. Gas mileage not great but good. Coincidentally bought it a day before a big snow hit Seattle and was glad to have the AWD. Adaptive cruise control wonderful once you get used to it. StarLink functionality and UI is confusing and frustrating; doubt we will extend the free trial subscription. A month after buying, found a crack that will require an expensive windshield replacement. It traces to a tiny chip, presumably from a small rock we didn't notice. Subaru user forums online discuss potentially vulnerable/weak windshields so prospective buyers might want to have low deductible on your comprehensive insurance.
