'98 4-Runner is a terrific car

Have had NO reliability issues at all. In 8 years of driving have only had to replace the factory battery, changed the oil and done routine maintenance. Unsurpassed! Great ride, terrific sound system, easy snow handling in 4WD. Have had a previous 4Runner, and when the time comes, will buy a new one.

I love my 4Runner!

I've had 4Runners for almost 10 years now, since determining they are the best value for your $$, rugged, roomy and reliable. Granted, the engine could use more horses compared to today's models, but it's roomy, still gets great mileage on city freeways (20 MPG), and I'm stuck on the late 90's early 2000's body style. It's versatile without risking being too inconveniently big for parking and city errands. You might not need a 4x4 for everyday use, but the higher clearance makes it nice when you need to bail off the beaten path for whatever reason. I will always love my 4Runner and doubt I'll ever find a better deal for the $$!
