Best vehicle out there, can't beat any 4Runner
I love this vehicle. There is the perfect amount of space inside, I can pack gear/food for 2 weeks on the road for 5 people.

Most reliable car ever owned over 17 years
This car is totally awesome, meeting all expectations of a vehicle owner would want! Comfort is excellent, extremely quiet inside, plenty of room, smooth driving and takes bumps better than most SUV's. Notice you will never find or see a Toyota 4 Runner broken down on the side of the road!! This vehicle is totally reliable and performance is highly commendable. The price is well worth the investment. Your looking at a vehicle that will easily last to 400,000 miles on her...if taken car of and have minimal maintenances completed. I have had my 4 Runner for 17 years and it runs like a brand new car to this day...I have had many compliments on what a beautiful car I have and how buyers would want this vehicle even now! I have had many offers way above blue book and black book value...It's a beast and lasts forever in every respect!!

It's 'got it all.'
Bought my '99 SR5 4Runner in 2012 from a guy who owned it from new. It came from the mid-West, a drier clime than Southern New England where I live. It was in very good shape. Since I've owned it I've put 20,000 miles on it..now at 218,000. The biggest problem I've had is when the fuel gauge quit. As it was computerized I had to spend some bucks to get the upgrade/improvement that Toyota provided. This was a problem common to that year. The auto retractable antenna quit (I just leave it up) , as well as the clock. They can be fixed by Toyota for a price. The only other bad thing is the frame is rusting now...a shame as the vehicle is A-ok otherwise....but the salt on the winter roads here takes a toll. I love the bigger wheels and tires it came with, the cassette/CD combo, and the fact that the rear window goes up and down with a touch of the button. It's a great vehicle for long distance interstate roads, as well as when you need push button 4wd for our winters and for off-road use.

Oldie but a goodie
Have the 99 SR5. Love it like a pet. Yep, I've had some repai bills along the way, but that is to be expected with any car. Has over 200K now, but it's still running strong (knock on wood.) On it's third timing belt. All things age, but when this breaks I'll just put new right back into it and keep it running. It's soooo much better than anything new out there. They just don't build vehicles this good anymore.

Can't wear it out!
I purchased my '99 4Runner Limited in 2009 with about 84,000 miles. Six years later, now have 154,000. Have used it for daily driving, long distance trips (2+ hours), helping to move kids to schools/apartments, haul stuff from Home Depot, in inclement weather, in city and highway driving. Other than routine maintenance, and replacing timing belt, gaskets and other necessary repairs associated with a vehicle of its age, haven't had to put big bucks into it. The only additional costs come with filling it with gas. Get about 15 mpg in city and 18 on highway. That's a bit frustrating when my wife gets 32-34 mpg in her new diesel BMW X3. But what the heck, it's a truck! It has worn well. A couple of self-imposed bumps on the exterior and a paint stain in the interior, but really still looks good for a 16 year old truck. Keep trying to find a way to wear it out so I can get rid of it and get a more economical truck, but it won't let me. Guess I'll have it for another six years.....at least!

Real sweet ride
I purchased this vehicle for errands and to get to school and back. It's a wonderful ride and I love this LIMITED model over the SR5 or the base version. She has a lot of miles on her, but was well taken care of and runs smooth. No problems so far. The dealer at Car Search USA (Bo) took good care of me.

Can't Give it Up
I bought my 99 4Runner new in 1999 and intended to keep it for ten years. It is now almost 13 years later and at 163,000 miles is still going strong. My husband thinks I have had this car long enough and we have looked at other vehicles over the years, but I can't find anything that I like better than my 4Runner. Besides that, it still runs like a top and is still very good looking. This car has never let me down and has only required routine maintenance through the years. Besides the new ones don't have the wood grain or sophisticated finishes that the old ones have. I might be tempted to get a new one if they ever come out with a dash that is something other than black. Love my 4Runner, it's almost like a pet.
