Explore the 2002 Toyota 4Runner

I've had my Toyota 4Runner for a couple of months now,

I've had my Toyota 4Runner for a couple of months now, and have absolutely loved my purchase. I was looking for a car that would be a capable daily driver and in the offroading segments of my driving. I chose the 4Runner for it’s high clearance and decent gas mileage, allowing it to be a good daily driver as well as a capable off-roading vehicle. On my daily commute to and from school, the 4Runner handles it with ease, offering me a comfortable ride. Although, where I really appreciate having my 4Runner most is when I am off adventuring with my friends. It gives me the confidence to explore new areas since I believe my 4Runner can handle any muddy situations I put it into, because the 4Runner is renowned as one of the best cars for offroading. It gives me confidence to explore new areas since I believe my 4Runner can handle any dangerous or muddy situation, which I'm known for doing quite often. The quality of my 4Runner is undeniable since it has held up all of these years. While yes, I have had to replace things like brakes and rotors the main things like the engine and transmission are still running great: 4Runner engines are renowned for lasting up to 400,000 miles! Since this old vehicle lacks modernity, it doesn't have Bluetooth and other amenities; although, my 4Runner's interior is 22 years old, it's in great condition, un-ripped, and is clean! However being an older model, the 4runner does not have as much power as a newer 4Runner since it has a smaller engine; however, the lower price makes the older 4Runner a more enticing deal. This is why I would give this car a 4 stars out of 5. Still for what it offers between a great daily driver and a reliable off-roader the 2002 Toyota 4Runner is a fantastic vehicle I am glad I purchased.

Great SUV!

Wow ! I bought my 4 runner sport edition when it was 2 years old . I now have 200k miles on it and the engine still purrs . Runs like a champ ! I’ve had this car for 19 years now ! The gas mileage is not that great . But , I figure I save money because this SUV is so dependable , nothing ever goes wrong ! Great great car !

419k MILES and STILL Kickin’ it !!

419k and still hauling the trailer with the boat and Home Depot Runs with the trailer. The BEST CAR EVER!!! Snow driving it is stellar! We did 3k oil changes and dealer regular maintenance. Love this car. Wish they made them this well now. They don’t .

What can I say. Built in Japan

I bought this because my T-100 had severe frame rot, but the engine was new. I will replace the engine out of my T-100 when the time comes. My brother said "Are you nuts? This current motor, (210,000) won't fail, ever." I said you never know.

Dependable transportation in need of some work

This vehicle starts and runs great. It has a new battery, front brakes and rotors, tires and front w/s wiper blades. Has been used by Grandson while he was in college but is now in the Navy. Has some dash lights on that do not effect either the drive ability or safety of the vehicle. Free and clear title sold "as is as shown" with no warranty stated or implied.

Truly the King of SUV's

My 4runner currently has 245K Miles and with basic maintenance it's still running like new. These trucks go 300k+ miles with regular upkeep. Another Toyota vehicle that is perfectly designed inside and out.

Best auto I have ever owned

My 2002 Toyota 4 runner has never, ever had a problem. Basic maintenance is all that it has ever had. 2 flat tires, don’t count. Am doing some basic replacement parts now, just for safety! It has 1hundred ninety + thousand miles. Have a list of people who want to buy it, mostly police & firefighters. Not ever going to sell-it is part of me, 17+years. Everything works! Am concerned about airbag recall. Can’t find info. My husband drove a Tundra, son, a tundra, nephew, a tacoma, daughter just bought her 2nd 4 runner. 2 grandchildren have 2002- 4 runners, sister had a Prius, says it is Tíbet. Best friends have a highlander & Carola. I could go on & on. 7 vehicles all purchased from same dealer in Benton Harbor, Mi.
