Can’t beat a 4Runner

This 2008 is my 4th 4Runner it just clocked over 211,000 miles if you maintain them they will last a long time. I also have a 1998 with 183,450 miles it was in a garage for ten years only driven a few times a month. They are both great vehicles and I purchased both new, I’ll pass to 98 on to my grandson once he can start driving in 12 years.

Love the 4Runner

This is my second 4Runner and I purchased it new. It is a 2008 limited, has 150K miles and still drives like it did when I drove it off the lot. My first was gently used 2002 SR5. I'm pretty sure I will always drive a 4Runner. My only complaint is that it doesn't have all the amenities as the much more inexpensive cars. It needs REAR overhead air/heat vents. Needs power gate. Glad it finally has the safety features and the apps in the infotainment center.

Twelve years. Zero problems. 120,000 miles.

Most reliable vehicle that I have ever owned along w/my 1977 Toyota Celica GT. Currently have over 100,000 trouble-free miles on 2008 4Runner and still going strong. Only negatives are cornering. Rides like a truck. And fuel consumption. I have the Limited w/8 cyl. engine.

Most dependable durable vehicle I gave owned.

Extremely comfortable seats. Can take people being hard on it such as kids or animals. Very dependable. Never let me down. Great in any and all conditions. The truck frame is great and harder and harder to come by these days. Very safe vehicle.

The Best Car I've owned

It's just the right size, has very comfortable seats and is loaded with technology! If you're looking for a new crossover in this segment, put this one on your short list to test drive.

Best car I ever owned

I had a 2006 that got totaled in a 4 car pile up on the interstate. It broke my heart because I loved that truck. But even in the middle of that mess with 3 vehicles totalled, I walked away uninjured. That made me appreciate it even more. I took the insurance check and went straight to a dealer with a 2008 on the lot and drove it home. It can take a load with roof pods and rear hitch 4 bike racks loaded and it performs well. Home improvement projects, if I can lift it with a friend, it works. If not, it will tow it just fine. It cruises well on the freeway and the ground clearance and 4WD does great off pavement. Grab handles make getting in and out easy and for those who use roof racks for kayaks and canoes, the spread between front and back crossbar is among the longest on any vehicles. That really helps the stability. You start to appreciate that off road as the vehicle pitches on the bumps. A quick trip through the car wash and you are ready for a night out looking awesome. I put 170k miles on between the two, and there’s no way I am giving this truck up. I travel a lot for work and get to rent all kinds of vehicles, but they just don’t make me think it’s time to update. I would rather have mine.

Extraordinary vehicle

Solid, extremely well built, reliable. Just the best 4 wheel suv on the market. I own a 1997 with 240k miles and runs perfectly. This prompted me to also purchase a 2008 which also runs perfectly. Outstanding brand!
