If you want.....

...a mid size true SUV that is great on road and stunning off road, has plenty of room, great features(like windshield wiper de-icer, who comes up with this stuff, love it), and gets good gas mileage, you may want a 4runner. It is a lot of fun to drive.

Great buy

Love my new 4Runner, it is the perfect size for a single mom of 2 daughters who carry everything! For a SUV of this size it gets decent MPG, you cannot expect a bigger SUV to get very high MPG. But I love everything about it!

2013 Toyota 4 runner limited edition

Love the car. Drives and handles well. Disappointed by lack of incentives when purchasing but told that was common. Still negotiated a good deal. Also must be noted that change to JBL system excludes entune. I bought the shorline blue pearl which is a great look.

My dream car

I love Toyota, we are a Toyota family. And I will only drive Toyota because of it's reliability. I started on an '87 Landcruiser (drove for 198,000 miles) and recently traded my '06 Corolla in for this 2013 4 Runner. I LOVE this vehicle and have wanted a 4 Runner since I was 16. I'm not sure what the earlier reviewer was talking about, my 4 Runner came with a wiper on the back window ... I love that Toyota did away with the curvy exterior (like previous 4 Runners). I think the new look models that of the old Landcruisers. I went with the slide out cargo tray instead of the third row seats and I love it. Makes it easier to load heavy items. It handles great and easy to park. I love the split folding second row seats. I can choose which side I want up/down. I don't know what else I can say other than I would buy this vehicle again in a heartbeat.

Stout Rig

Screams quality, at an affordable price. Not like German standards, but it would cost 15 grand more if Germans made this vehicle, ...I will not even start to talk about German maintenance costs. Go away Korean suv's, shoo American utility vehicles, save the Jeeps..thanks Mercedes engineering.

Probably Worst Toyota ever owner

We love Toyota because of the reliability, looks and value. The 2013 is worst designed car we have ever owned. I bought a 2004 4Runner new and still own it. The 2013 is a downgrade from the 2004 4Runner. Reviews like this devalue the vehicle, but I feel it is important for buyers to know what they are getting especally with new vehicles. I will list out the specific issues with the 2013 4Runner below. 1) There is not a rear window wiper blade. Nothing to clear salt, rain, snow, etc from the window. All other Toyota SUV's have rear wipers. Seems so short sited and cheap without it. 2) It takes 15 minutes for heat to work on a 35 degree day. Not an issue in the summer, but winter means cold rides. 3) Cannot see the radio display on a sunny day. Want to change channels, pull over or be a stop light so you can move you head directly in front of the radio about a foot or less so you can see it. 4) Window controls are built into base of window instead of on the handle. Unlike every other Toyota SUV, the window controls sit at the base of the window and are parallel to it. So you lift your entire arm up to your head level to access and control the windows. Now try this unnatural movement when driving. Not safe at all. The vehicle drives good and seems solid. The looks are OK.

Rock solid

Mpg surprisingly in line with other vehicles in this size and class. It actually is getting a little better mpg's than our 2012 Highlander.
