Dream Car

Obsessed with it. I love 4runners and I would recommend them to anyone who was looking for a new car. I drove a 4 runner before this one but it was an older one and it was so good to me. Ever since I got my new one all I want to do is drive. I will probably always drive a 4 runner. I leased this car which I thought was a smart decision for me because I know I'll want a new 4 runner in a few years. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I turned it in for a 2017 4Runner!

In fall of 2015, I was looking for a good replacement for my 2011 Chevy Tahoe LTZ lease. As much as I had loved GM in the past, my Tahoe didn't treat me well. So I knew from past experiences, that you cannot go wrong with a Toyota product. So I went over to my Toyota dealership and test drove a Silver 2015 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4X4 w/ the black leather and I fell in love. The exterior styling is absolutely stunning. The wheels are a really cool machined alloy with sharp, edgy black inserts in the spokes. The smart key access system was really helpful. One thing the 4Runner has is the smart key buttons on the rear tailgate which is super helpful when you are trying to get cargo into your trunk. The seats inside the 4Runner are super comfortable, especially in my Limited model which included a heated and cooled function. Super nice for the New England climate. The entertainment system wasn't anything to write home about and it was a bit small, but the design is simple and got the job done. My favorite thing about the 4Runner is the simplicity of it. The front and rear parking sensors were really helpful especially parking in the parking garage at the hospital in tight spots where I work. The rear seats were really a nice setup. You could fold them down flat and throw stuff in the back; a mountain bike, some skis, a couple rakes, just everything. Overall, I loved my 4Runner and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a reliable, capable vehicle. Now, I loved my 4Runner so much that I picked up my new Blue 2017 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4X4 today with the Redwood leather seats. A gorgeous combination. Thank you Toyota for making such a lovable vehicle!!

Solid SUV but significantly overpriced

This is my 3rd 4Runner. They are fairly bullet proof (mechanically), even if they are neither the best looking SUV nor the most comfortable.

The perfect truck-based SUV on the market

I have a 2015 4Runner SR5 base with 4WD. I can honestly say I love this car! The ride is very smooth with great visibility in every corner. Very competent offroad even with stock suspension and tires. Drivetrain is smooth and there is a nice roar when you start the engine signifying its truck heritage. Reliability is obviously amazing since it's a Toyota and, not to mention, the 4Runner is well known for its reliability. Interior is a little plain which is pretty common for a Toyota. Plenty of space inside and you can even add in a 3rd row if needed. the display looks great with the blue and white accents! My only minor gripe is that the base doesn't come with automatic headlights which is surprising for the price of car. And speaking of price... yes this car is pricey but in the long run well worth it. What you pay now pays off later when most other vehicles start breaking down and you have to put money into it. But not the 4Runner! Last but not least the mpg's are pretty bad but about what is expected for a truck-based SUV. Overall, great vehicle and highly recommended!
