2017 4runner

Our 2nd 4runner. Most reliable vehicle we've ever had. Lacks power, but great vehicle overall. Also our sales person was very knowledgeable about the vehicle, really appreciate when someone knows their products. Would recommend the Rockwall dealer to anyone.

Good Vehicle

This is a good vehicle based on history. Traded in a 2007 4Runner for this car. The 2007 was definitely a better built car. Interior has improved greatly. Handling is weak. Exterior is mundane.

Feel like we made a good decision in buying the 4R

I wanted a medium-sized SUV and the 4Runner was reliable, stylish, and had a good record of holding its value.

They ruined a good thing

My previous was a 1999 4Runner. It was lean and clean looking. Ran great! I got the 2017 because at 289K, old reliable was getting tired. The new model looks fat and bloated, has a lot less visual appeal than the old classic. Kind of reminds me of what happened to the Tacoma. A lot of people are looking for the older smaller ones. Toyota had the Tundra, why they upsized the Tacoma is beyond me. Same for the new 4Runner. Don't know how much longer I'm going to keep it.

Outstanding vehicle

Overall, the Toyota 4runner regardless of Limited, SR5, TRD Pro or Off Road, is a phenomenal vehicle for everyday use. I purchased a 2017 Limited. I thoroughly enjoy the vehicle as a whole with only a few very minor qualms. I find the head rests to have an odd angle to them pushing your head forwards causing you to have to recline the seat a bit more than usual to remedy the situation. I wish the vehicle had come with wider tires, rather than the pizza cutters that come stock. Being the Limited trim, the 4runner should definitely include the following: heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, power folding mirrors (shut off the vehicle and mirrors fold in), manual adjust headlights, dynamic radar cruise control, roof cross bars. Aside from the extra additions, the vehicle is outstanding. Very comfortable, solid ride. I loo forward to owning this vehicle the next 15 years.
