2009 Toyota Camry consumer reviews

oil change does not last 3 weeks. Dealer and other checked nothing they can do about it. that is the only problem I have.

This is a great car to have to get back and forth to work, not the best for performance but definitely a great car to get the best bang for your buck.

Start to show all kinds of issues after 190K miles. Stuts started to leak, engine cover start to leak.

I OWNER THIS CAR FOR 6 YEARS AND IT'S FANTASTIC AND RELIABLE IF YOU CHANGE YOUR OIL REGULARLY AND KEAP IT CLEAN IT WILL SERVE YOU FOR A LONG TIME, I BOUGHT MINE WITH 27000MILES - NOW I HAVE 150000MILES ON IT, SO BIGGEST REPAIR WAS THE ALTERNATOR NEEDED TO BE CHANGED A FEW MONTHS AGO, AND NEW SHOCKS, EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS PERFECTLY (OIL CHANGES AND BRAKES ARE NOT CONSIDERED REPAIRS )

Used for long roads, quiet and comfortable, light on fuel and pleasure to drive. Used for family holidays, the size, space, luxury, fuel economy and handling makes this vehicle ideal for the roads in our country. We have long reasonably good tar roads and towns are far apart. The looks also adds to this cars overall performance. I bought this vehicle as an import as they are not available at our or South African Toyota dealers. Apparently there is no market for them although you scarcely find a good one second hand.

This is the 6th Toyota I have owned. Won't drive anything else. I find Toyota to be the most reliable car of all that I have driven. This includes Ford, Chevy and GMC

Sure, it's not going to be parked in front of the high-line hotel, but it works and it works well. This is a great car.

the le v6 has transmission issue issues. purple are right about the transmission. it is an awkward model where as, you have to tap the gas pedal to change fears. I think they made it that way to protect the transmission at high speeds up hill. broke the transmission, but maybe because of other issues such as playing with the sports shifting. the way it shifts it's similar to Honda accord 2014-2016 but again this was in 2009, prolly experimental. the seats are comfortable, I have the normal seats. non leather. however one thing that bothers new is that the steering wheel isn't really... centered.
