Nice Ride

When I first started looking for a non-roadster type convertible, I was interested in the Ford Mustang. After looking for several months and driving a few, I wasn't sold on the Mustang. This led to me broadening my search for other convertibles and ultimately led me to the Solara. After my first test drive of this car, I was sold. The ride was so smooth and comfotable and the performance of the V-6 is very nice. One thing I miss a little is the handling; it has a little body sway, but I guess it's to be expected of a car with such a smooth ride. The fuel mileage was also an unexpected pleasure at 27 MPG on the Hwy. Overall I'm very pleased with the choice I made. Since I own two other Toyotas, I knew what to expect as far as reliability is concerned.

FUN CAR TO DRIVE

I AM GETTING 28 MILES PER GALLON, MINE IS A V-6. JUST A GREAT LITTLE CAR THAT NEEDS NO EXCUSES. EASY TO KEEP, WITH A VERY EASY COST MAINTENCE FACTOR. PLENTY OF ROOM AND PLENTY OF PEP.

love my solara

I researched the Toyota Solara on line and found the one I ended up buying on the internet. It is so easy to buy a car this way. It cuts out the hassle of purchasing a car. I would buy this car, again, BUT if I had a family who traveled with me all the time, I would buy the Camry (four door), even though, it is not as sporty.

Beautiful Car

I own an "08" Red Solara Convertible and I just love it. My friends can't believe the comfort and quiet ride. This black Solara is so beautiful and I know how it performs so well. This car won't stay around long. If I did not have my Solara I deffinately would be very interested in this black Solara, how nice looking it is. It is a very reliable car. I would recommend this car to everyone

Sports Car Sexy without breaking the bank

This car is AWESOME! I purchased an '06 in 2008. It had 31k miles. The styling, both inside and out, makes it look like a much more expensive sports car. Fuel economy is great and handles great on mountain curves. The sun/moon roof is great on those sunny California days. It's too bad Toyota discontinued this model. I would recommend to anyone that is considering purchasing a sports car but wants to keep a little money in their wallet. You won't be disappointed.

I want to keep this car forever

The Solara has the smoothest and quietest ride of any car I've ever driven. I have an SLE V6 coupe. Visibility out of the rear takes a little bit of time to get used to because of the rising belt line towards the rear of the car. The suspension is a great balance between comfort and sportiness; the highway ride is pretty soft but the car can also be pushed through tight corners and freeway onramps. The JBL audio system sounds very good, and its bluetooth connectivity comes in handy. Headroom for taller people can be limited, especially in the back seat for passengers over 6 feet tall. There is tons of legroom in the front seats. The steering is extremely light, and it is possible to make a turn with one finger. The turning circle is pretty tight which makes it easy to maneuver the car. The 3.3 liter V6 is very quiet and smooth with good everyday driveability and plenty of passing power. Long interstate trips have yielded 30 mpg, and everyday driving usually gets around 20 mpg. Acceleration sometimes does not feel very aggressive, but I think that's because the car is so smooth, so light-footed driving takes a little practice. VSC and traction control helps especially in winter driving. All season tires do fine in snow and ice but winter tires are great.
