Great for Traveling

I love this car, excellent on gas milage, excellent handling, and comfortable. It also has the perfect amount of room in the front and back seats. the truck is also a good size.

Big improvement over previous-gen Corolla

I purchased the 2020 Corolla SE sedan with the 6-speed manual, as it is likely to be bulletproof for reliability - unlike anything with a push-belt CVT design. I also like how Toyota was smart enough to mate both direct & port injection together in their GDI TNGA 2.0L engine design - which is crucial for eliminating the carbon deposit issues of conventional GDI engines. I've own my car for a bit over 3 weeks now, & it makes both a fun & economical daily driver. I've been averaging 42.7 MPG, overall during this time. Inside styling is really only marred by the look/positioning of the 'levitating' touchscreen unit. Outside styling on the SE/XSE trim is very nice, with a strong, sporty stance (unlike the wimpy looking previous-gen Corolla). The super-sporty LOW 40 profile nicely-wide 225 tires are a bit slim-profile for my tastes & do make for a harsher ride on rougher roads, but do handle very nicely. I wish the SE/XSE would have gone with the same attractive alloy wheel design in 17" instead of 18", & used either 45 or 50 profile 225 tires instead. I have no use for the lane-assist feature - it's just a stupid gimmick, perhaps useful for stupidly-distracted or drunk drivers. Overall, it's a great, almost-mid-sized compact car. The SE/XSE trim actually imparts the feeling of driving a mini-Lexus.

Stay away.

At first I was in love with the 2020 Corolla Hybrid but then about a month to a month and a half into my ownership there was a safety recall issued for the braking system. As such, Toyota offered me a rental vehicle until the remedy could be found and the problem fixed. That was around a month and a half ago. I drive a lot (between 3-5k miles a month). Their next best MPG option for rentals was the 2020 Corolla SE. While the MPG is good compared to the average for non hybrids, it doesn't compare to the car I'm still technically paying for, while not being able to drive. So, while I don't pay for the rental directly, I'm still paying for the extra gas I'm having to buy. The SE is also far more uncomfortable and I find myself in pain during and after every long drive I have to make. I used to swear by Toyotas and talk them up to every person who asked about my vehicle and my driving. Now, with as much as I do, and with how long Toyota is taking to fix this situation I am stuck in, I am looking forward to the day I can abandon this brand.

Dashboard noises and noise while driving

I have been the owner of the new Toyota Corolla 2020 for three months. The squeaking dashboard and various noises while driving they can lead to fury. At the first service I'm going to report it to the dealer.

Looks great, drives great, couldn't ask for more.

Has everything we needed plus more that we didn't even realize it had. The back up camera makes it much easier to park without worry of going a bit to far. It has the "SOS" feature that will be very helpful should we ever need it.
