Very nice car

I like the Highlander. I considered several others as a tow vehicle and utility car: RAV4, Pathfinder, Tacoma, Pilot, CRV, 4Runner. The Highlander was the best value with the tow prep package to pull up to 5000lbs, yet also be comfortable and fuel-efficient. Its reliability is high and quality is very good. I bought the 2008 model used with 83000 miles on it. 2008 was the first year they came out with the more powerful engine and oil cooler to pull 5000lbs. We tow a Coleman popup camper, about 3500lbs. wet.

Best car for price

2008 Highlander is spacious and good with third row seat, which was our one of the requirement. Best exterior look. Good viewing for driver in all directions.

Happy Highlander Owner

I bought a 2008 Toyota Highlander Limited, used w/low mileage. Drove and looked at MANY auotos before finding a replacement for my tired Mercedes E320 4matic wagon (which I loved) I need the space and 3rd row seating - I get pretty good pick-up w the Highlander V6 engine - almost as good as my old wagon. Very nice leather interior a little better gas mileage and no longer have to fill up w/premium. Cargo space if I need it and a little higher view of the road - all in all - very pleased with my choice - less expensive maintenance, I understand, too. - Just what I was looking for and really didn't know it until I drove it.

Great Mid-sized SUV

Prior to my decision to purchase, I researched and compared several mid-sized suv's. I found that the Toyota Highlander Limited offered more bang for the buck in terms of styling, interior fit and finish, comfort, and performance. I've only had it for two months now, so I can't speak to reliability as of yet. However, the Highlander gets very high marks from professional reviews.

Fantastic

We purchased a used 2008 Toyota Highlander about a year ago. It has been perfect for us. We have two children and its interior and thrid row seating is perfect for kids coming and going. It also has performed great. We have performed regular maintenence and that is it, no issues to speak of. I have owned Honda, Ford, and Nissan SUVs in the past and this is by far the best we have owned. We have been very happy with this vehicle.

Highlander 2008

Bought it used. Looking for roomy SUV, but good on mileage and AWD. Got that and so much more. I avg between 20-22 mpg, which is really nice for the power and size of the car. I would get one again if I had to do it all over again. I am driving it til it dies......which I hope is a very long time.

The perfect family SUV

We bought this after trading our gas guzzling Escalade. It is better in almost every way except the v8 power. The ride and refinement is buttery smooth and the cabin is ultra quiet. We bought a certified used 2008 V6 Sport and it is perfect for a family of 4. Gas mileage has been 23 Hwy 21 city. We will likely keep this suv for at least 5 to 10 years. Toyota knows how to build the perfect family vehicle. I recommend this to anyone considering a mid-size SUV. It can't be beat!

2008 Highlander Limited

I bought this used, 2008 Highlander with 24K miles on it for my wife in late May, 2011. It is a Salsa Red color with grey leather interior, and no navigation. Perfect. We both love the SUV and we know about Toyota reliability to be top notch. I would reccomend this SUV as it is good looking and performs well. Per Consumer Reports, the brakes are a bit mushy, but overall, a great vehicle. We also drive a 2010 Corrola, and a low mileage 2001 Tundra...we like Toyota quality.
