It works for us!

With all the hype about Toyota, I have to share that this is a great vehicle. We have owned the Limited model now for 4 months. It handled well in snow/slick roads with the 4WD snow feature. It has great pick up and I am impressed with gas mileage so far-on the open road with the AWD feature- (24.9 mpg usually 20-21 mpg in city). The cabin is very roomy and comfortable while traveling. The storage capacity is wonderful. I also have a cargo net, but really don't need it very often. Things just seem to 'stay put' if I tuck into the back corner. I absolutely love the automatic hatch opening feature. Mothers out there-its a must have. The smart key is a change, but a great idea and it makes me laugh because it WON'T LET you lock your key in the vehicle. It has many electronic features that do take some time to learn. It is necessary to read the manual and work with it instead of trying it while driving! I thought that the doors were a little odd looking, until I realized that the concave curve to the door avoids those frequent bumps and dings that one often gets with other designs, I can appreciate that! The ride is not as smooth as our previous SUV but it was more impressive to me than the RAV4 over rough pavement. I can live with a few bumps. The service that we have received from the Toyota dealership since purchase has been outstanding and I must commend them here. So far so good...

2010 Toyota Highlander

I recently purchased a brand new 2010 Toyota Highlander, fully equipped including tow package. Although only having driven it about 3000 miles, mostly long trips, I am totally in love with this vehicle. Handling and ride smoothness is exceptional. When you need engine power for passing, etc., it is certainly there. Dash controls are very easy. Keyless system is superb. Fuel consumption is averaging almost 21 MPG, which on long trips I was hoping for 23, but this is acceptable. Rear seats are very roomy and rear cargo space is very good. NO brake issues, NO floor mat issues.

Had for 3 Months and Very Happy

Have the 6cy/FWD Highlander Limited for 3 months and very happy. I have driven vehicle on a 1200 mile trip at Christmas and got great mileage(23+ mpg) and very, very comfortable. Driving around town averaging 18+ mpg. Love the fact it uses regular gas. Love the six month trial of XM radio, good gas mileage, comfortable, quiet and handles very nicely.
