Excellent Replacement for my 10 Y.O. Camry!

This Highlander has been a great all around vehicle. It is quiet on the road, gas mileage is about 22 MPG in the winter and high 24s to low 25s in the summer. It rides well and the third row seats (8 passenger) have come in very handy when the Grand kids visit. I'm very happy I bought it.

Great auto

This is the third Highlander that I have owned and will not be my last. It fills all of my needs and all three have been reliable with very few problems.

Luxuries of a car with space of an SUV

We absolutely love it. Ride and drives like a car with space and virtues that you seek from an SUV. You truely can?t beat a Toyota

Best overall midsized SUV

I drove a 2017 Rav 4 and a 2016 Santa Fe and purchased a Certified used 2016 Highlander. Overall the vehicle was better than the others and meets my needs with plenty of legroom, comfort, amedies, quietness, performance in this size package. Only slight downside is fuel mileage which averages 21-22 if you try to stay in eco mode, I believe all midsize SUV should average 24-25 mpg with out being a hybrid.

I LOVE MY TOYOTA HIGHLANDER

I absolutely LOVE my Toyota Highlander! I am so happy I purchased it. I think the model is gorgeous, and it drives like a dream. I am totally happy with it. I love the HUGE sunroof, the leather interior is beautiful, and the sound system is awesome. I could not be happier! I will probably keep this car forever, but it I ever need to purchase another car, it will be another HIghlander!

Little hesitant but Toyota rocked it

We went from a Toyota Sienna to the Highlander. I was a little hesitant at first by cross overs. The Toyota awd is awesome, lots of power. leg room in the back is plenty.

What you need to know...

I have owned this vehicle for two years and have logged over 50k miles on it. Mechanically, the car is great. Just oil changes, cabin air filters ..the normal things. The tires are still original, have worn evenly, but ready for a change. The navigation, even though it?s suppose to be active traffic monitoring I don?t find it to be up to date as some phone apps. It drives well and is pretty quiet. The sound system is good. However, there is no Scan button and the tuning dial is a real stretch to reach from the drivers seat. The back seat configuration is nice and easy to tuck down when transporting larger items. My biggest complaint, and this is not only on the Highlander but also on the Camry?s and Corolla?s, is the phone/info system. Everyone I speak with while using the system tells me to call them back later. There?s too much background noise and my voice too crackly to understand. I literally lean into the center overhead where the mic is to try and talk. I?ve brought to to the shop multiple times but they don?t see anything wrong. I?ve adjusted the volume controls and have done the voice learning series. Still no luck. Also, the infotainment system does not like to change from playing music via Bluetooth to USB. It?s gets hung up sometimes. It also gets confused when you get a call when using the USB. The call comes on the screen but you need to use your phone to talk, then the system shuts down and reboots. I wish Toyota would trash the radio and infosystem all together and start from scratch and buy from a different supplier. If they improved this feature alone they would have me as a customer for life. I?ve had 4 Toyota?s and I love the reliability they offer. However, considering I need to take business calls, I don?t feel comfortable using my phone and earbuds so people can hear me... Therefore, I?m moving on to a different car company. If you don?t think these issues would bother you then I would highly recommend this car, it?s great (especially in the snow).

My 2nd Highlander

So far so good. To say it's roomy is an understatement. Very comfortable, intuitive, quiet, smooth, nicely appointed. Among other things, my wife loves the driver's seat... and her only real wishes are that the front passenger seat had the same adjustments (especially lumbar support) and that the front passenger door window had the pull down sun screen like the rear door windows have (but that might be a law/safety thing (?). Other than that it is a 9+ out of 10.

most comfortable car I have owned

There's a lot of space both the driver and the passages' seats. The most comfortable car I have had. I 'm getting great service from the dealer too.
