Best Fuel Mileage yet
Overall this is an excellent vehicle from a quality perspectiive. Though it delivers the best mileage of any car I've owned in over the last 20 years, it did't come close to the manudfacturers EPA Ratings. I have a 2007 Touring Prius with virtually all the options, Handling is great as are teh options. It is still a little underpowered, especially on hills

Doesn't do well in the snow or rain
I love the car for the most part. However, it makes me nervous on snow or rain. It slips alot on wet roads and certainly doesn't like the snow. The mileage is significantly affected in the winter. The very soft interior fabric on the doors, etc. is wearing thin related to kids, etc. Very light colored interior and didn't have a choice for anything else.

Prius
It has great mileage and good performance problems I have is can't fill the fuel tank to its capacity I brought it to the dealer they replaced the filler tube and something else it worked for a month and it started again I brought it back to the dealer and they told ne I was putting the gas in the wrong way, I've been putting gas in cars for over 40 years so I still have the same problem. Otherwise its a good vehicle

The best car I have owned
In these days of ever increasing costs, this car saves me money. Fun to drive with light steering, tight turning circle and low running costs. Whilst a bit slower than so called conventional cars, you spend less time in petrol stations and now that petrol has broken the #1 a litre you will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Freedom machine
I bought a 2006 Envoy XL at the end of the run, and really stole it. As a golf professional, I figured I needed the space and comfort. However, since most of my playing events are a 250 mile round trip, the gas mileage began to wear on me. It would actually get 12.8 in town and 19 HWY. This translated into $40-50 per event for fuel. Anyway, on a lark, I drove the Prius (Touring Edition) and was amazed. Quieter, plenty of room and storage, the "baby wagon" design works really well for golf equipment and ease of loading and unloading. It's the first car I've had that made my previous cars seem OLD. I average mid 40s in mileage and was embarrassed yesterday to pull in and fill up for $7. I thought I needed gas-ha. The Toyota dealer gave me more than I paid for the Envoy against the Prius, dispelling the belief that I would have to take one for the team. If you are careful, you can operate on electric only and sneaking up on your friends in parking lots, another fun thing. Complaints: seats could use more adjustment, dash could use a tach and temperature gauge, and the rear end styling is typical Japanese which translates as not too hot. Lastly, it puts driving back into the fun catagory, relieves stress of travel, and lowers my blood pressure at stop lights, drive thrus, and traffic jams. I'm free to go. Gas could go to $12 a gallon and I'm as well off in town as I was before at $3. Freedom=priceless.

Well worth it
I love the gas mileage. It took a while to get use to the new driving style this car requires, but over 3000 miles, I've got the average MPG up to 47.5. The car is comfortable to ride in, I'm 6 feet tall and don't feel cramped. I switched from a '98 Explorer, so I was worried about head room, no problems though. I like how the seats fold down to fit long items. It easily fits several 2x10x8's with them down. The baby's stroller fits perfectly in the back when the kids are in it. The only thing I don't like is the exterior paint, it scrapes very easily.

This is the best car I have ever owned by far.
The vehicle has amazing pick-up. When you need that extra power to pass the gas and electric engines work together flawlessly. The car is roomy and comfortable. The lights are bright and night driving is a pleasure. I do wish the car had power seats. I am currently averaging about 55 MPG. I follow the speed limits. I have the Navigation system and it works great. My wife loves the car as well. We were hesitant at first about buying, but let me put those worries to rest this car will not disappoint.

A Suprise for sure
I purchased the Prius to do my part in being less impactful on the environment and maybe saving some money on gas. The car is a pleasure to drive and a marvel of technology. Gas mileage is around 50 in a combination of city and highway. Pickup is good and enough room for 4 adults and luggage for the weekend. My only complaint is that I wish the drivers seat had adjustable lumbar support.

Love this [not so] little car
I still get stopped in parking lots by people asking me about my car. I am more than happy to show them the vehicle if I have time. Almost always they are surprised at the interior space and the whole hybrid technology. Most people have preconceived notions about this car (and the driver), but almost always they can be dispelled after 2 minutes of conversation. I get about 47.5 MPG with a mix of highway and city driving. The car is as roomy as my old Camry and performs better. If you have not tried this vehicle or are curious, but not sure what to think about hybrids, get into one and test drive it.... you might be surprised! I love my prius
