Great gas mileage

Gets great gas mileage and drives smoothly. Great starting mechanism. Roomy backseat and lots of bins and compartments to store sunglasses phone cables and other supplies. First aid kit in the back is a unexpected bonus.

1st Prius

I didn't know exactly what to expect with the Prius as I have never owned a hybrid before. I decided all electric wasn't for me as they have a limited distance before needing recharged. The Prius has a "synergy" drive system. It can work on all electric, all motor or a combination of electric and gas motor at the same time. Depending on how you are driving it does all the thinking. I bought the car in January in Ohio and am getting 42 miles per gallon on winter blend gas. I expect that to increase to close to 50 mpg with summer blend gas. The other differences with Prius is the gear shift and acceleration. For gears there is no R, 1, 2, D etc just R and D. When it accelerates you don't feel any shifts as it is a different type of drive system.

Great car

Lots of space Cam not hear the engine running, I have to rap the gas at a stop light to make sure it's running. Lots of space and little cubby holes to stash things.

very reliable and economical

Had no repair problems and had 107000 miles when traded. I knew at that mileage I would start to need some scheduled maintenance(Like plugs, brakes, never needed, etc.) which are added expenses so I opted to lease a new 2016 Prius with a 3yr. no maintenance clause which I just reviewed before this review. That 2007 Prius served me well and the only thing I had done was regular maintenance, a set of tires and the only repair was the trunk battery after about 5 yrs. No other repairs or replacements for $107,000 miles/over 9yrs.

Great commuter car

Reliable car with great gas mileage! First hybrid, power start I owned, so it took some getting used to, but it served me well for many years and the 38+ mpg for city driving was great.

Most reliable car I've owned.

I never expected to be a Prius owner before buying the car, but I am happy I gave it a chance. The car drives much better than you expect, even not considering the great gas mileage you get.

Reliable car. Great MPG.

it's a great commuter car with tons of space in the trunk. Great safety rating. Not the most impressive during rainy or snowy conditions but it works amazingly on dry roads.
