Best Car I Have Ever Owned!!

Great gas mileage 50mpg. The Prius isn't the prettiest car but runs great very little maintenance! Tires last forever, Mine has over 200,000 miles and still runs and drives as it was new. I have owed all kinds of cars and this by far is the best money wise , plus not to mention how much it has saved me on gas, fill up is on 20 bucks and I get almost 400 miles to the tank.

it just won't die!!

the toyota prius will never fail you. seriously, 197,000 miles later and my toyota prius is still here!! i'll often joke that the car won't die because it keeps being reliable, safe, and practical, despite the abuses it's taken from its 10+ years serving our family. now at 10 years old, the car has a dented bumper and a cracked mirror but continues to push on mile after mile. the only serious issue that has presented itself was an axel that had to be replaced 4/5 years ago. oh and i think the car has payed for itself by the amount of money i save at the pump!! at 10 years old it still routinely gets 45mpg!! all around, i would highly recommend the prius. give it a chance, even if it isn't the most beautiful vehicle on the road

First Electric Car I've Driven

This car is really, really good on fuel, and is a good commuter. My two main complaints was that it was priced too highly, I feel (at $11,000 at the mom and pop dealership I went to), and there was no torque to it, so speeding up was like gliding through air. I recognize that people would appreciate it, but I didn't. It also had really tight turning, and really tight steering.

Perfect Car for our 8 hour trips to see family.

We drove this car on many 8+ hour drives, it gets great gas mileage which was huge plus, and it never once broke down on us. We had an issue with leaky tires, other than this car never have us problems.

The most reliable, dependable, and economical car

Toyota Prius is the most reliable, dependable, and economic car I've ever owned. It has required the least amount of maintenance - only routine oil changes and tire rotations. The factory installed brakes lasted all the way up to 150k miles before they were due for replacement - due to degenerative braking, prolonging its life. The car averaged 45mpg during the first 180k miles and then dropped to 38mpg after it hit the 180k mi point. The original hybrid battery lasted 204k mi before it died. All in all, this is the best bang for the buck car I've ever owned. It's meant to be the most economical and fuel efficient car and it delivers on those two points with perfection. Space wise, it is very practical. The hatchback makes the car look ugly in my opinion, but adds a ton of practicality for storage and creating space. Cons: It is not fun to drive, has a boring interior, and engine noise is loud especially when driving in a hilly area. Once the hybrid battery dies, the car dies & Toyota charges approx $5k for replacement. Third party mechanics can install refurb/remanufactured batteries but they are hit or miss in terms of dependability.

Best car I've owned

This has been a very good car for me.I have owned it for three years now,and it hasnt let me down.I purchased my prius used, and it hasn't let me down. The quality of the vehicle is excellent.Fuel economy is very good as well. I get mostly in the mid 40's mpg, better in summer than winter, which is tylical for every vehicle I've owned.Possibly the biggest downside that enters my mind,is the possibility of having to replace the hybrid battery, which could be around $3k for the battery, and I'm sure labor wouldnt be cheap for a job like this either.Overall the car has been great, and I would buy another one.

Great car that will last for years

The Prius is a great car for me and for the environment. I love driving it and I am happy to be doing something to reduce my carbon footprint. It is a quality vehicle and easy to drive.
