Redefining stability

Prius is one of those gems that never gets old. Highly reliable, good with gas and has an awesome city styling. I am 6 ft tall and comfortably drive it and use it for sporting purposes as well - scuba diving, going uphill for hikes etc

Very reliable and efficient transportation

For a tool that can get you from point A to point B as efficiently and comfortably as possible, it is hard to go wrong with a Prius. It's well known gas efficiency along with Toyota's reputation for reliability ensures that you commute goes off without a hitch. The comfort options such as smart key has been a revolution in ease of use by allow me to unlock the door simply by touching the handle and driving off with the key still in my pocket. The only downside is that its a bit boring to drive with limited torque and non existent driving characteristics.

I am in love with my Prius

This car is amazing at what it is made to do. It sips gas like no other. The different modes help, and the on screen prompts can teach you in a fun way how to drive more efficiently. On top of that the prius is incredibly versatile. I did not realize I would like the hatch back with the under floor storage, and dual glove boxes as much as I do. I was surprised that there is more than adequate power when you put your foot into it. The power is definitely there if you need it. Visibility isn't as bad as some people make it out to be as long as you can position your mirrors correctly. I have certainly driven cars with much MUCH worse visibility. The only minor flaw I can complain about is that the prius isn't that great to look at from some angles. Sometimes I like it, and others I'm not so sure about the styling, but with everything else it has to offer I get over it real quickly. In the 103K miles the car has only needed tires, and oil changes. If this car is on your mind at all I say do it. I truly think you won't regret it. I would certainly buy another one in a heartbeat!

Very reliable with good MPG

I owned the car for around 4 years. It never had any issues. Just oil changes every 10K, ATF Fluid changes every 60K, and tires when you need them. The car performs as well as you'd expect for a econo-box hybrid. It's slow relative to other cars out there but it makes up in MPG. Note that MPG gradually declines as the years go on. 53 max down to as low as 34. The car doesn't like hot weather. It if gets too hot (116), the electric engine will essentially minimize functionality until it has time to cool down and MPG/performance will suffer. But if you live in a temperate and/or flat area, then it's all good. Overall great car for the value; but it's like driving a slow boat.

Great gas mileage, but no excitement

My 2010 Prius II is a very reliable car that regularly gets me about 43-45 mpg depending on the time of year. I have 110,000 miles on it, and the original hybrid battery is still working fine (if it fails before 125,000 miles, Toyota will replace it for free). I've had probably 2 or 3 recalls on it that I've had fixed, which is the only major thing I dislike about this car. If you want a reliable car that gets great mileage, this is a car for you. If you want a fun car to drive - look elsewhere.

2010 Prius awesome car!

Awesome safe, reliable, efficient, economical car! I'd buy this car for a new driver or an elder driver or use it as a business expense to drive for Uber, Shipt, or Instacart.
