Prius Advice
This is the second Prius that I have owned. I owned a 2004 for 3 years prior to purchasing this vehicle. I think the changes that were made to this generation including: improved gas mileage, interior design/setup, exterior design, and just being a newer vehicle that holds its value a better purchase than buying a used Prius of the previous generation. My only complaint on the Prius II is that I have to take the keys out my pocket to unlock the passenger door and the rear hatchback. I did not have to do that with the previous model. So my advice is to spend the extra money and buy the Prius III or Prius IV they also provide other features that are worth the investment since the car will last for a very long time or hold its value well until you trade in for a plug in or the next great innovation that comes from Toyota.

Pros vs. Cons
Go Green! Cutting down on waste, reducing your impact on the environment, and saving money: who wouldn?t want to do this? Driving a hybrid car is a great way to start the green process, but lets see if the positives out way the negatives. Hybrid cars are becoming the new, popular cars on the market. The 2011 Toyota Prius is the most fuel-efficient vehicle in the United States according to the EPA. If interested in getting the best deal, the 2011 Toyota Prius is the right decision when purchasing a new vehicle. With 51 highway miles per gallon and 48 city miles per gallon, the Prius made the number spot on the ?highest fuel economy? list. Not only does it have phenomenal fuel efficiency, it also gives a quiet, comfortable ride. The Toyota Prius comes with all of these great features at an affordable price. If not interested in keeping the Prius after purchasing it, the vehicle has excellent resale value. With all of these features found in one car, there is few ways to go wrong. Nothing in life is perfect, including the Toyota Prius. Most people, when purchasing a new vehicle, lean towards having something luxurious or durable. With that being said there are a few down falls to the Toyota Prius. First of all, the Prius is a hybrid, which means it is mostly battery operated. The trouble with this is the batteries tend to wear out after awhile and most of the batteries cost over $10,000. The irony of the car is that the battery contains a large amount of lead, which in all actuality, makes the vehicle somewhat non-earth friendly. Another flaw is the bland body style. However, Toyotas have never been known for their sleek, impressive body style. The Prius could also use an upgrade on its average interior and the poor rear visibility. These are a few things to think about when purchasing the hybrid vehicle. Though the Toyota Prius may not be the most stylish vehicle, if you are looking for the best fuel economy in its class, the Prius is the car for you. Not only does it have positive affects on the environment, it also puts money back in your wallet. So starting the green process is only a car away.

This car is the best one we have ever purchased.
We have purchased many new cars in our 42 years together. This is the first one that we have had buyers remorse the next day after purchasing. We absolutely love it.

Hooray for the Prius
I've been getting about 51 miles to the gallon around town, and 54 miles to a gallon on a long trip. This car is such fun to drive, designed so it really can do anything. I don't know why I waited so long!

Just the car that I wanted
I had been looking at cars for about 2 years and the Prius seemed like a good match. The car averages about 55 mpg and I love going past gas stations. It has been a very comfortable riding car even on a 12 hour trip.

Best car out there! Smartest choice
I got a used Prius last time the gas prices hit $4.00/gallon and drove it daily on an 80-mile round trip. It performed flawlessly...just added gas, tires, and oil when needed. Had the opportunity to trade and did. Love the little extra gas milage! I get between 43 and 47mpg driving to work and between 48 and 52 mpg driving home! (It's mostly up hill to work.) Toyota keeps making one of the best cars better. I LOVE it!

3 months in and no regrets!
So far, the Prius has been outstanding. Overall MPG is around 47.5 so far and my wife and I love the design of the cabin. Time will tell about reliability and maintenance costs, but if it's as good as the previous generation, I doubt we will be disappointed.

Best car ever!
I really do not understand why everyone into fuel economy isn't getting a Prius. No one comes close to their mileage, even beating that micro so-called Smart car. And there is plenty of leg room for four adults with cargo. None of the competitors have come close to this combination of mileage (51/48), roominess and maintenance free driving. I have 60,000 on mine in 3 years and it's never been to the shop for anything other than routine maintenance. Toyota rules!

2nd prius in my household
This is my second prius. I also have a 2005 prius. I am very satisfied with the 2005 and expect that I will be satisfied with the 2011. It is an easy car to drive and the gas mileage is outstanding. The electric motor provides a satisfying amout of pickup when needed. I have had only standard maintenance(oil change, tires, wipers). There have been no repairs at all on the 2005. I would highly reccommend this car, and I do so at every opportunity.
