Love this vehicle

I have never been so incredibly happy with a purchase in my life. I wasn't even looking into purchasing a new vehicle let alone a Toyota. I searched for months test drove a used prius, loved it, then looked at a 2013 a dealer had on the lot and loved that. I am not an impulsive shopper, but with this vehicle I looked at it and purchased it the next day. Overall, the car is huge on saving money on gas. It is great for short trips around town. The gas mileage is awesome with the gas prices rising. Overall, this is a magnificant car, and everyone looking to save money on gas and be more eco friendly. this is the best car to at least drive and check out. It's just amazing couldn't be happier. I was going to purcahse a used vehicle so I had a lower car payment, but just feel in love when I got in it. The vehicle is so beautiful inside and very user friendly for the driver and so much space for such a smaller car. I had a friend purchase one then the next day I got one. Now my parents want one and my cousin. Looks like the family will be switching over to Toyota

Love the savings on fuel

The only real negative thing that I find is the view from the rear view mirror but love this little car over all.

Great fuel economy

I purchased the Prius 2. I love the fuel economy. It is comfortable although the armrests could be higher. Also, there could be better design/storage in the front. The steering wheel coul have more adjustment as well as the seat position. It is comfortable and has lots of leg room for rear passengers and a large amount of luggage/storage space in the hatch. I wish I had input on the design. You cannot open the rear hatch from the driver's seat. It is a bit slower than other cars I have had in the past but the fuel economy makes up for that. In hindsight, I would purchase the backup camera as the rear window is quite high which makes it hard to see.

Didn't even consider any other car

I had a 20008 with 230,000 miles on it with no major problems beyond regular maintenance. When I started looking I knew it would be another Prius. It is perfectly suited to my line of work. Great looking body style but I was disappointed with the changes to the front seat area. They now have a cheap plastic center console that got rid of all the wonderful storage I was accustom to in my 2008. The center console has been moved so far back as to be useless and the cup holder is under your arm so its not convenient. Still has the double glove box but the shelf in the top one has been done away with. The pocket in the front doors was the length of the door, now they are hardly larger than a cup holder. Really missing the storage I gave up. Also not yet getting the great gas milage I was promised. Averaging 46 mpg. Was already getting 44.7 in the old car and was told I should be able to get about 51 in the new car. Its not that I don't know how to get the best mileage from a Prius cause I changed my driving habits when I bought the 2008. Rear area is very much the same as I was use to so no complaint there. All in all, once I start to see the great gas mileage promised I am sure I will adjust to the 2014.

My second Prius-need I say more?

My first Prius was a 2007. Just traded it in on the 2014. LOVE the gas mileage- as long as you drive carefully, it's great. If you are used to speeding around, jamming on the brakes, jackrabbit starts- your gas mileage won't be as good. They have improved some things about the Prius- most namely visibility. I love it and am looking forward to many more happy years as a Prius owner

Excited with new car!

My car is so new I am just getting used to it! It has many great features and some take a little time to learn. I am looking forward to getting great gas mileage as I am moving to California!

I love my 2014 Barcelona Red Toyota Prius.

This car handles well, fun to drive, average pickup for size and being an energy efficient hybrid. Plenty of room in the front and back seats. I love the hatchback and rear folding seats. I have the Prius C III., leather seats, navigation system. It is a little pricey at 30K with tax, title, license but very fuel efficient and quiet. So far I really love it. I only rated it as 4 stars on reliability because I have only owned it a month, so we will see how it is. I hope it will perform like my 2005 camry which has been the most reliable car I have every owned.

Looking like a wise decision after 1500 miles

The choice narrowed to an Accord LX, Camry, Camry Hybrid, and the Prius. In the end, after satisfactory test drives and reviews for all of the vehicles, I chose the Prius for the extra mpg it offered. So far, trips have ranged from 43 mpg to 54 mpg, i.e. as good as I expected. The Camry Hybrid is peppier and drives more like a regular car; I would have chosen it if the mpg was the same, but the Prius does significantly better. One review service suggests that on a cost per year basis the Camry Hybrid might actually be cheaper over the first five years, but since I tend to hold on to cars "forever" (traded a '99 Avalon for the Prius!) and I was looking at life-cycle costs, the Prius appeared better. Driving takes a little getting used to, particularly the two-tone rear window and the very loose coupling between engine speed and road speed. It's almost like driving a 1950s Dynaflow Buick or a transit bus. Once used to it, however, one discovers that one is actually keeping up with traffic and the acceleration is reasonable despite what sounds like a straining engine. Handling is solid but not sporty. I miss the steering feedback I get in most other cars. The car was delivered with zero defects. No trips back to the dealer for this car (or my previous three Toyotas.) The only downside discovered so far -- and we were aware of this before purchase -- is that there's quite a bit of road noise transmitted to the cabin on rough surfaces such as worn concrete. Engine noise is low, wind noise OK, and road noise is OK when on good roads. The best part is my grin when refueling.
