First Prius. NOT disappointed!
After my very first car (also a Toyota) peaked at close to 300k miles, it was time to upgrade. Keeping in mind I commute 120 miles a day, I needed fuel efficiency and decided on the prius. I received the 2016 Toyota prius 2 eco for a very decent deal and have been addicted to driving it since I bought it a month ago. The very first tank of gas took me close to 600 miles from south Carolina to Alabama on its inaugural road trip to see friends. I was shocked at how quietly it drove and it's responsiveness to commands. The exterior design looks soooo much better than its previous design which looked like a large household appliance with wheels. The interior leaves a bit to be desired and is fairly minimalist but not a deal breaker in the least. The seats are rather stiff and not the most comfortable design in the world but fairly tolerable as noted after 600 miles in one sitting. All in all, a wonderful vehicle so far and I look forward to many more trips and miles with it!

I like everything but the seats...
Everything about this car is great except for its comfort. It is the most uncomfortable car I've ever owned. Impossible to put up with for a long trip. Impossible to rest on the seats when you recline them. So uncomfortable it will probably keep me from getting another one even with everything that's good about it. I've indicated I would recommend a Prius to a friend but only if also warning that it is very uncomfortable.

On my second Prius
I had a Prius for 7 year and was looking at other makes. After test driving the new Prius there are no other cars. The exterior and the interior and totally new. Driving this car is a dream. The new model looks sporty but the inside seems more like a luxury car than a midsize. The technology is incomparable.

Great car, Feel like I'm in a Stormtrooper Armor.
My previous car was a 2007 Prius, standard without any additional accessories. After 185,000 miles, 9 years, and no issues, it was time to get a new one. (Hybrid battery died) Went back to the same dealership I purchased my first Prius, and ended up buying this one, 2016 Prius 3 Touring. Outstanding. Couldn't believe how quickly i fell in love with the car. I commute 80 or so miles a day. I thought my 2007 Prius drove well. This one drives 10 times better it seems. The car handles spectacular. Features I never thought I'd use, I love. Averaging 50+ MPG on the freeway, and handles like a dream. Love the sportier look, and the softex seating was well worth it. The exterior color (Pearl White) and interior (Black/white) makes me feel like I'm a Stormtrooper, except much safer. Put about a 1000 miles on the car already after 2 weeks of ownership. My only complaint, is that my driver and passenger side blind spots seem to be (for lack of a better word) bigger. I may put some convex mirrors on my driver & passenger side mirrors. Highly recommend. The overall quality, feel, handling, it's one of the best cars I have driven.

More MPG
This is our third Prius (we don't own 3 Prius, we are a single car family). We live in Chicago and couldn't be happier with the quality, MPG, and versatility that a Prius has proven time and time again. It handles exceptionally well and is even quieter than our Gen 2 & Gen 3 Prius. When purchased, the gas tank said 870 miles to empty and it has a 11.3 gallon tank which we have been able to duplicate. The interior is comfortable, especially in our Prius 4 with adjustable lumbar support. The navigation was significantly improved. Love it.

Exceptional car
This is my second Prius (2011 with 114k), I just purchased the 2016 Prius IV, fully loaded with all the technology packages. As much as I liked my old Prius, this car is exceptional. Many, many upgrades. First the car is much quieter, you really have no idea you are in a Prius. I can barely tell when it goes from gas to electric or the reverse. It is far more comfortable. All the technology items are mind blowing. I think it was designed by a 20 year old as there is the equivalent of a home button on the right side of the steering wheel that controls all the many screens. The Heads up display is neat, along with easy to use, once you figure out all the other items. Sound system and GPS are exceptional. LED headlights are great. Mileage appears to be 10% better- including the "report card" after each trip A few minor negative items: -no spare tire, and so far hard to even buy a compact one. While rare to have a flat, I don't want to be the one that gets one and then has to be towed -still have the annoying interior beeping when car is in reverse -with automatic braking, it is hard to pull all the way into my garage (which is tight) up against a wall without the car stopping two feet before the wall. -the interior is Moonstone, which is a bizarre black and white.

Fourth Prius in our household
The 2016 is Prius is the 3rd generation of Prius we have owned in our household since 2008. All have been excellent in economy, reliability, durability and value. The new generation 2016 Prius 3 with safety package is an excellently engineered machine, featuring a very sophisticated electronics package and such safety systems as collision avoidance, lane drift warning/control, rear camera, heads-up display and much more. The newly engineered suspension , body and seating provide a better driving experience and comfort, and the hands free, voice-controlled phone, entertainment and navigation package is excellent. The car even includes a Qi-standard wireless phone charging platform on the center console (now if the the cell phone manufacturers will catch up by equipping all their phones with the Qi receiver in their units!). Toyota has even managed to squeeze a few more MPG out of its re-designed power train. The only negatives are relatively minor aesthetic ones: the central console area, shift panel and steering wheel panels are glossy white plastic, no matter the interior color or materials, which at once looks cheap and clashes terribly with the otherwise dark interior. Toyota has wisely decided to produce a black plastic applique that covers the white console and shift panels--but distribution of the appliques is slow and I'm still waiting for mine. Sadly, there is no black applique for the steering wheel panels. In addition, the panels surrounding the center console electronics screen stack are black but high gloss, which shows every finger print and can create reflected light glare. These surfaces should all have a non-reflective finish. But overall, as with my past Priuses, I am very pleased with the car--even though it comes with two thick manuals which I am still studying to learn how all the electronic features work!

best gas mileage
I bought a 2016 prius eco, the one with the lithium ion battery.I love the electroincis but most of all, I love the gas milage I am getting. The first tank fill up got me 525 miles with only 8.7 gallons used, or 60.1 miles per gallon. No plug in, either. The hatch is a bit small however but the interior space is adequate for all passengers. It doesn't handle too badly but does not compare the my jetta for cornering, etc. Pickup is adequate. I have to see how it handles the mountians when I take it to Lake Tahoe, later this month. If it pans out to be reliable, then I will be looking to buy another one 3 years down the road. I put 3 stars for reliability but that is because I just bought the car, therefore, I know nothing about it's reliabilty.
