2008 Toyota RAV4 consumer reviews

When I test drove this car I knew I found the right model. I have not had this vehicle long, but I already enjoy it. The car is easy to drive, feels safe, and is extremely roomy. Coming from a Jeep Wrangler, I still wanted to have a slightly sporty SUV that wasn't low to the ground and was good in the snow. I haven't test the snow bit yet, but this is a solid SUV that I feel comfortable driving and provides me with everything I need and more. Definitely consider this vehicle if you are looking for a small SUV that is not too reminiscent of a minivan.

Meets all of my needs and then some- super roomy. I feel safe in my rav4, i like the features of the sport edition, and it gets me where i need to go!

Haven't had it long enough to really judge it. But so far so good, Love the style, Love being high up. I am not real fond of the color its almost a greyish green. They say its green. Wish I could have gotten a blue one like I wanted, and a little newer with more gadgets. But for now I have what I needed within my budget. I know that Rav 4's are dependable and that is what I want.

I purchased this car (used, 112000mi) recently and only had it for about four months. It was fun to drive and got the job done. The gas tank was a little smaller than I had expected and I only got 300mi on a full tank. After about three months of driving it around I hadn't trouble accelerating and the check engine light came on. I took it to my local shop and they flushed the transmission fluid and gave it back to me. Right after picking it back up, I was five minutes from the shop and the light came back on. I brought it back and they looked at it and said it needed a new transmission. They reccomended i bring it to a repair man who specializes in transmissions & he says the same thing. I bring it to a Toyota dealer and they say the same thing but also tell me the engine is on its way out. So all was well until I was told the car needed repairs that was equivalent in cost to what I paid for the car.

This is my second Rav4. I absolutely love it. Its a very comfortable ride and never has any problems.

comfortable for me especially with back issues I have. Has the right features for me. Easy to reach and not distracting. Lots of back seat leg room and comfortable back seating.

This car is very easy to drive and meets my needs as far as space. However, I do wish the gas tank was bigger.

Great power, MPG, sporty, lots of room, reliable. It's a great value for its price and Toyotas last forever.

This RAV4 drives well in most conditions. Because of its lower clearance, it does not handle deeper snow well. I have 138, 000 miles on mine, and it still runs like a new vehicle. Beware that repair of certain parts requires you to visit a dealership to get those done, costing a much higher amount than one would expect.

I was so afraid my new vehicle would not meet the standards my Toyota gave me. I never had to put any money into the vehicle. It was extremely dependable and very sharp looking. Lots of extra storage space on the dash that my new vehicle does not have. Did great in the snow too.
