Great Car as expected

I love my new Rav4Hybrid limited. It has the safety, comfort and convenience features I was looking for in a new car and Toyota's reputation as a great brand helped push me toward the Rav4.

Toyota did it again!

The RAV4 hybrid is very quiet, it has a nice pick up and the interior has every you need. I bought all the options and I am happy I did.

Toyota keeps improving

This vehicle is the best combination of styling, reliability and comfort. If you are braking, accelerating or handling turns, this vehicle is handles it effortlessly. The 41mpg city makes it a great buy.

RAV 4 -Great car, I don't miss my Accord - AT ALL!

The styling, comfort, ride, visibility and performance are great! The seats fit great, the car feels solid on the road, virtually no blind spot AND plenty of power and 42+ milage.

Could have been great

I traded my 2013 4Runner for the XSE. This could have been the best car in its class, but Toyota rushed it and went cheap. The good: 1. Love the design inside and out (subjective obviously) 2. I have the JBL sound system and it is epic 3. Good ride, handles well and quiet 4. I'm 6'3" and plenty of legroom (length wise). Comfortable seats 5. Great cargo room, especially with the seats down. The Bad: 1. Within 1 week of having the car, the battery died. Dealership kept it for 3 days and said it was a bad battery. I didn't believe it. Then the battery died again after a few months. This time they said it was a computer update. It is a widespread problem, search online. 2. The gas tank (widespread problem, research online). Mine takes about 8 gallons when close to empty. 3. The fuel economy. I get around 34 and I have been driving like a grandma. Nowhere close to 40 combined. 4. Lane keeping assist worked fairly well in the beginning but as I approach 5k miles, it is getting worse and worse. It feels like the car is a ping pong ball in the lane, not stable at all and definitely not safe. 5. The onboard computer is outdated, buggy and very slow. Around 1/3 of the time, I plug in my phone for Android auto and the system crashes or freezes and I have to turn off and turn back on the car. 6. The heated seats are non existent. Luke warm would be an overstatement. 7. The remote connect app for remote start, etc is unreliable. It does not work half the time. I have been back to the dealer for this twice too and still not resolved. Contacted Toyota corporate multiple times and they don't care. They acknowledged it is a problem with multiple owners. 8. The leg room WIDTH for the driver is very narrow. As I mentioned, I'm 6'3" and the length is amazing actually but the width is not comfortable. These are the thing that have been bothering me on a day to day basis. Obviously the gas tank issue and the car not starting are the big ones, but the others can be annoying. Toyota has finally sent letters out acknowledging the gas tank issue and indicated that they will be fixing it in the near future. I hope so. My interactions with the Toyota Experience Center (corporate) telephonically have not been positive. Toyota "sells itself" for some reason and they know that they can do whatever they want and will still make billions. The only good thing about Toyota is the cars really hold value. But this is my second Toyota now and my 4Runner had lots of problems as well. As attractive as this car is, and as well as it rides and the amount I enjoy driving it, it is like a tease. Kind of like dating a super-attractive person with no personality. Don't make the mistake I did; Toyota does not make reliable products and certainly does not stand by their vehicles.

Very happy with our Rav4 Hybrid

OMG! My first Hybrid! Push to start and quiet. If it weren't for the "ready" sign on the dash I would never know that car was even on. It rides smooth and seems to hover like a spacecraft. It's wonderful!

Surprised that this Hybrid was quite powerful

We are a Toyota family, and own Camry, Corolla, 4-Runner, Tacoma, and now RAV-4 Hybrid. I was surprised at the power of this Hybrid, I has always thought Hybrid we're too weak. I was so wrong.

EV mode only works in short distance

EV modes works only in short distance and recharge itself but not in full battery. Can’t use EV modes once it is in freeways except on ECO. There’s no big difference from my previous car also on ECO but not hybrid. I wish I only did lease first then return it back.
