2012 Toyota Sienna consumer reviews

Great minivan styling and performance as expected from Toyota. Everyone who sees you driving your Sienna SE on the road will definitely be nodding their heads.

Toyota has MISSED the mark with the new 2011/2012 changes!!! I am a mom of 3 small children (5, 3, 5 months) and a 2005 Sienna owner. I went to the dealership yesterday to buy a new Sienna and left with my old one. I was gravely disappointed in the new interior configurations. For starters, they have moved the latch in the 3rd row to the 60 part of the 60/40 split. If you have a carseat using latch in the 3rd row, you can only fold down 1 seat in the stow and go. In addition to losing stow and go space, the latch is in the center of the 60 seat section rendering the other part of the seat useless (I weigh 115 pounds and couldn't fit beside my child's carseat). In addition to this, they have now created an option for an 8th seat that is removable. It sounded great until I learned that when the seat is removed it leaves behind a center console which must then be stepped over to access the 3rd row (I have carseats in the captain's chairs so I cannot slide the seats forward). SO this means everytime my 3rd child goes back to the 3rd row they are stepping on this center console, I can only imagine how that thing will look in 1 year! In my old Sienna I can move one captain chair over to the center which creates a walkway on the side by the door, a fantastic feature for accessing the 3rd row. In this new design, the captain's chairs cannot be moved so you don't have an option for a walkway anywhere but down the middle. I am sad to say I will now be visiting a Honda dealership (something I said I would never do). Hopefully Toyota will institute these changes and go back to being the choice for minivan moms everywhere.

This is my second Sienna and that says it all. To buy another one of the same car means that I loved the first one. They also have great resale value. I just wish the the big 3 could do it as good. I would like to buy American.

Toyota has really outdone themselves with this one. This van has really spoiled me! It's comfortable, stylish and keeps my family safe with it's many safety features. No road noise, smooth ride and I dont have to pay for service for two years! We drove very minivan out there, this is the one, hands down!
