Extremely Reliable

I have owned a Tacoma with the I4 engine for 2 years now and have found very little to complain about. I put 25k miles a year on it commuting to work and have only had to take one trip to the shop, which was for the catalytic converter recall. The radio leaves a lot to be desired but I have since changed my deck out with a satellite compatible kenwood deck. Overall if you are looking for a reliable and practical ride, the tacoma is a good selection.

My son loves this truck

This truck is perfect for my son, so far very reliable. Perfect for towing his boat and fishing gear. It's also good for towing work equipment to certain events.

Toyota Tacomas are the only trucks I buy

I retured by 2001 Toyota Tacoma after almost 300,000 for the 2012 Toyota Tacoma. Reliable, tough, and small enough they are easy navigate anywhere. The 2012 has everything I loved about my old truck but with more tech and finesse.

Flipped it and it still ran

I bought this beauty of a mid-size pick up for dirty jobs and serious off-roading. MyTRd off-road came with rubber floor liner instead of the standard cloth. This was the selling point for me as I am a commercial diver and needed something I didn't care about getting into covered in whatever Poseidon threw at me. The seats where water and stain resistant as well. The few compliants I had of this truck was that the bed didn't ever fit lumber in it even with the tail gate down. The double cab which I owned didn't fit anyone in the rear seats if they were above 5'5", being that I am 6'3, pretty muscular and need the extra room for seat adjustment. Speakers were ehhh, and finally due to the angle of the front seat and front window I was never able to see a traffic light without bending forward unless I was four cars back. Performance wise this thing was a beast and handlers everything thrown at it. 90 mph down narrow off-road trails, no problem, adding suspension kits as upgrades, no problem, and as the title states... flipping it in the middle of a snowstorm, no problem. I lost control this pas winter on a hill on my way to work. The truck fish tailed into a tree stump 6ft wide, ripped it out of the ground rolled onto the roof, then back onto its wheels. Roll cage crushed. Truck totaled. Turned the ignition key back on, every window and electronic system still good to go, engine roared back to life and drive it to the auto shop. Insurance payed me 5 grand more than what I bought it for. These trucks never loose value.

Best truck for its size

Tacoma is the best truck for many reasons. Really good on gas, holds its value, easy to work on it and it looks nice.

Reliable, no nonsense.

The V6, 4WD with 6 speed manual is a perfect mid-size truck for farm, ranch or medium construction work. It handles well on ice and snow with 4WD. The vehicles with the V6 tow package are worth the extra money
