under powered,

I have owed more than 18 Tacoma's in the last two decades and I have found that my 2019 was the greatest disappointment , mpg ,motor under powered, transmission ,brakes grabby, fuel pump recall they cant repair, these are no longer the Toyotas of yesterday!!! Just got a Silverado 3.0 diesel 33 mpg what a truck >> maybe someday back to Toyota if they stop making them so cheap ...... Sincerely a Toyota man

Toyota Tacoma

I have numerous family members & friends that own Toyota & they highly recommended the brand. I wanted a midsize truck & seeing it’s rated as the number one to have, I went to the nearest dealership and bought one. So far, I love it!

Great truck

My last vehicle was a leased Toyota Tundra, which I liked. I was looking for something just a little smaller. The Tacoma was the best choice for me. Only had the truck a couple weeks but I love it.

Powertrain is absolute junk

I just had to get rid of my 2017 TRD offroad crewcab. Loved my taco the 1st 2 years. Then the last 1yr ½ nothing but issues. The dealer updated my transmission during reg service which made my tranny horrible I got the nonstop gear hunting issues that ton of people have and the taco really turned into a gutless wonder; and it went back to the dealer multiple times with no resolution. Then the front end started shaking bad while breaking, dealer said it was because of my tires, so I put new tires on same issue, dealer said the shaking vibration is normal for tacomas. mine was so bad at times steering wheel would just shake during easy breaking. What’s weird it would do it sometimes and sometimes it did not, and I had new rotors and breaks on the front end and also had alignments done so that was not the issue, dealer said it was normal. The taco was great off road did everything I asked it to never left me stranded. But the powertrain is gutless wonder no low end torque and the transmission is junk , it sucks great looking truck, I defended being a fanboy of the taco for 2 yrs saying it was the best truck I ever had, but that came to an end. This was my 1st and last Toyota for the price I paid for the taco is just not worth it. Saving grace trading it in I did not take loss because of the resale value. After all this I can see why people still say the 4.0 2nd gen Tacoma’s were the best ones powertrain wise

The perfect pickup for houses with split garage

Love this truck. This is my second Tacoma and first with automatic transmission. We chose the TRD off road as we plan to pull a toy hauler with it. The 6800 pound max tow weight is just right for us.

Good so far

Great truck but lacks "get up and go" which you need in California getting on the freeways. Buy a v6 if you want more power!

The most practical truck I've owned

Although it's commonly associated with "trucks of old", lacking in technology, and lacking in styling. The Tacoma is a perfect fit for me, it looks, and drives the way a truck should. If you prefer reliability, and resale value over gimmicky gizmos, the Tacoma is hard to beat.

Useful for utility and easy on the eyes.

I needed a bigger cab for my growing family. Traded my Tacoma SR5 access cab for a TRD Sport double cab. Plenty of room now and the bed will still meet all of my needs.

Excellent 2020 tacoma

I love the color of the Tacoma, the interior is comfortable. Lots of options for music and safety features. Also love the gas milage tracker.
