Great multipurpose, practical, sporty car.

Hatchback practicality, 210 horsepower, reliable enough, sporty enough to energize a daily commute. Every car magazine the world over loves these cars, for good reason.

It was fun until it wasnt

It was a great car until the engine stopped working. It also hurt that the value of the vehicle plummeted after the VW scandal. Also the maintenance was a bit on the pricey side.

Excellent fast everyday driver!

I love this vehicle, I have taken this car up and down all of California coast, and from L.A. to Oregon. Haven't had problems with regular maintenance, although I suggest carb/ valve cleaning this car about every 20,000- 30,000 mi. It will definitely keep the life of your vehicle running strong and much longer.

Most reliable sporty car I'ved owned.

Fast, Sticky, Fun. This car is a dream to drive. They call it a poor mans Porsche and the way it handles and performs is the reason why. It's been a treat to own and drive and easy on the fuel. I love this car.

Very fun manual

Got my 2012 GTI car used because I wanted to learn manual. It was a breeze learning on this car. Car is really nicley designed, which is one of the things that drove me towards it. Drive is great. Slow pickup, but once you get it in 2nd or 3rd gear, youre off. Will drive it forever.

She became my favorite car...

My last car, a Saab 9-3 Aero SportCombi, was my favorite! The GTI is now my favorite! Perfect balance! Speed, comfort, gas mileage, and space/utility. I even put a trailer hitch on her for a small utility trailer!
