This car is reliable, efficient, spacious, great gas milage, sporty, practical and just all round a great car. its everything you need in a single car. I have owned for over 10 years and have had no big problems or issues. Has always been reliable and run really well!

Runs and drives great in the winter and summer. Reliable. Comfortable and sleek looking. Interior trim matches exterior and is a sporty car. Turbo is a plus!

This car has been reliable and dependable. It has never let me down. I plan on keeping this car clean and sharp looking and will drive it till it can go no further.

Car seemed fine for about 12 months then started having engine problems and has never run right since, at 135K miles put in new cam, lifters, water pump, timing belt, cam sensor, and throttle body....still has one cylinder missing most of the time so be ready for very expensive repairs

I do all of my own service. Here are the known issues with the 06 Jetta TDIs: 1.) Cam will wear out even using VW TXT505.01 compliant oil. Do it yourself for $600 or pay dealer $2700. Ours lasted longer than most at 169k. 2.) AC will become intermittent. Do not pay for new AC compressor. Buy new RCV (unloader solenoid valve) it begins to stick over time and time and any AC shop can do it with recharge in 2 hours. Part is $70. 3.)All have a defective wiring harness for air bag under passenger seat - $220 dealer fix 4.) 5 speed manual have a dual mass flywheen that will distort due to the rubber mount between. Vibration and chatter will be symptom. It is a pain to replace by expect it by 180k miles 5.) If you buy one out of a hot area the headliner will recess on the pillars and the dash control buttons if of the black style will be sticky and nasty. We have had 3() 06' Jetta TDI's as my wife does home health and puts on a lot of miles. First one new then 2 used ones. We have a spare purchased with only 58k miles and ready for when this one dies or gets wrecked.

This Jetta was very fast, reliable, and great on gas mileage. Always got me to my destination at all times. A VW JETTA is a reccomended vehicle, also makes for a great first vehicle.

Never failed to start even at 10 below 0; would smoke and make a racket until warmed up. Great highway car. Could pass everything in sight going up a steep incline. Didn't require DEF. MPG 43 on a labor day trip from NH to SC; mpg otherwise 40-41 normal. Mpg would be 2-3 lower with B100; hard to find B100 now because of emisssions issues. Newer cars can't use biodiesel.

We have owned this car for 5 years and taken it on road trips to Carolina and Florida. Incredible gas milage, almost 50/ gallon, and comportable to drive.

This car runs clean it is silent and the leather seats are wonderful! They are heated. And the sunroof is nice and i love Having a diesel car.
