Great fuel mileage

Three months in this remains an excellent purchase. TDI with 6 speed manual. Averaging 47 mpg. Good power/Great torque. Engine should be mandatory in all cars. Car much more stylish and larger than previous generations. Very affordable. Hopefully, the cost-cutting will not affect long-term durable which has been excellent in previous Jettas.

Very Nice and Quite

I love this vehicle. I get over 40 mpg on the highway and it is a very quck vehicle and no noise inside. You would never know it is a diesel.

Jetta is worth it

Roomy, comfortable and quit. Plenty of power and milage is actuall higher than rated. I am getting 45 highway and 34 combined in NE PA. Would like to have power seats and homelink which is not available.

I love my Jetta

I traded in my Volvo S80 for a new Jetta because the gas consumption on my Volvo was through the roof. I believed this to have been a downgrade, but was soon proven wrong. I have since fallen in love with my Jetta and besides from the noisy cabin, cannot find one thing I do not like about it.

2011 jetta tdi

Went from 350z to a sedan when I became a father. Absolutely love the diesel manual. Thought I would regret losing my wickedly fast car, but the jetta is plenty fun to drive. Very quiet and seats four adults fine. Great family car for someone who.enjoys to drive and 40 MPG average of city and highway!

deisel power

Jetta SportWagon TDI: Great mileage 40-45 mpg, lots of torque, no down shifting on rolling terrain. The dual clutch trans takes a little getting use to, at low speeds it has some indecision. Overall I give it a 4.5 rating

So disappointed :(

Why not buy a 2011 Jetta? After owning a 2009 Jetta TDI 6spd I traded it in on a 2010 Jetta TDI DSG so my girlfriend could drive it. We both love the Jetta and also own a pickup truck. When fuel prices went up we decided to add a 2011 Jetta to our fleet for commuting. What a disappointment. Our 2010 feels premium in everyway but the 2011 has gone cheap. The ride is floatier and less European which is huge to anyone who actually enjoys driving. There has been too much de-contenting to make this an option for anyone who has purchased a Jetta in the past. New owners won?t even notice and will probably like it if coming from other brands, however long term VW owners (we have owned five) will notice the difference. For example: you cannot close the windows and sunroof with the key anymore; no more valet key, the doors sound hallow when closing; driver seatback is not power; acceleration is noticeably slower, fuel economy is not as good as our 2010 which is weird because it?s the same engine in a heavier car. Long story short we traded the 2011 Jetta in less than 30 days. Thank goodness people haven?t caught on to the cheapness because we got a great trade-in value. We still have and love our 2010 Jetta TDI and look forward to many years with it. VW dealers and service continue to be strong brand points and I?m sure more VW cars are in our future as long as they realize people want economy in regards to fuel not content.

FAVORITE CAR IN THE WORLD

This car is absolutely amazing!!! We bought the car 2 months ago and its awesome! We have 2 full grown teenagers living at home and they both fit fine in the back seat.(sedan) The TDI gets very good gas mileage and is very fun to drive. We have had problems with the sunroof not closing but that was fixed no problem by our dealership. It is priced the same as a Prius and being an owner of a Prius it has many more features and is well worth the money!!! Our older son drives it to school and the Jetta is no longer a girls car it is the one everyone wants to ride in, we bought him a 2006 Audi A4 quattro (the more expensive sister to the Jetta) and he likes to drive the Jetta more than his Audi. If you are going to get a Jetta spend the extra money for the TDI because it is worth it!

Jetta SE The best car on the market

I just bought a Jetta Se with sunroof and I think this is hands down the best car on the market for the money. I am still trying to figure out what people are talking about when they say the interior is boring I think it looks great. Come on now you can't expect woodgrain dash etc. when you pay $23,000. Do yourself a favor and buy one if you don't already have one. Thanks VW for building a great car so I didn't have to buy a hyundai.
