Very nice quality car

I was looking at several cars and am happy with the purchase. The quality, look and comfort level of this car is great. I owned a cheaply made suv before this car and am so happy to be back into something I’m comfortable driving!!

Great commuter car

I lost my Nissan Sentra in a total loss so I decided to try several cars for a commuter car as the Nissan was good but I wanted to make sure it was best for me. I found the Jetta and this is the 1st VW I have ever drove or owned and immediately loved the way it felt. 1st off the interior is done perfectly and I appreciate how the screen etc are all facing the driver as opposed to head on. Next the car drives very comfortably and has great response, I will say it's not as sporty as the mazda3 or civic but the 40mpg compared to mid 30 is well worth the trade off. Overall I really recommend this car especially to anyone who has a commute (mine is roughly 60 miles roundtrip).

2019 SEL Premium with Cold weather Package

I have no true complaints about this car. I have had the car for 2 months. The sticker price was a little over 31 k and I got the car for just over 23k ( the car had 75 miles). It is fully loaded.. Reliable thus far and fuel economy is great. I expected the higher trim to have lower stats but I still get 29-31 mpg every morning on my way to work. I feel like if I drive like I want to, I get a couple mpg less than I could but the car still costs nothing in fuel. I see what they mean when the bad review mention that growl but I had that in my 2017 model as well. I previously drove a 2107 jetta SE for 3 years. Its not that bad.. yes it is noticeable to me when going up a hill or taking off very slow but thats b/c the car is designed to keep a low RPM. I dont think about it, specially if I have music playing. It has the beats audio system and its great. You know how some car sterios are just awful once the windows or sunroof open? Well not the case with this car. Rain doesn't fall into the car when you open doors. Windows dont roll up if someone has there arm out the window b/c of the sensors. The car legit has any tech you can ask for... the only thing i want and do not have is a bird eye view camera and the car isn't really large enough for that anyway. I did rate the comfort 3 stars. I find myself adjusting the seat often so maybe the seats could have a better shape to them but i am getting used to it. The only seats I have ever really liked in any car are from Lexus anyway. I could go on for hours. I love the car and I keep finding new tech perks.

LoveThis ride!!

This is the second Jetta I’ve owned, and I love it. My 2019 is a manual transmission, and it’s super zippy! Handles like a charm. It’s a great bang for your buck!

Most unreliable car I’ve ever owned

I have never had a vehicle with so many issues!!! It had been into the dealership with problems numerous times. I am always worried about what is going to go on it next.

Excellent driving experience for reasonable cost.

Excellent ride and handling balance and sturdy construction, good acceleration and 40 mpg at highway speed on varying terrain, this car represents an excellent value and drives above its price point.

Most Fun To Drive!

Roomy, Great Fuel Economy, Fun To Drive, Big Trunk, Sporty Design. I love it. 6 year/72,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. VW has come a long way for style and reliability. SUV models are great as well.

First VW I've driven, decently impressed

I'll start this off by saying that I rented this car for a few days, put about 800 miles on it so while I can't talk about it's reliability I can comment on it's driving/interior. Power is surprisingly decent given the numbers. Nice low end torque from the turbocharged 4. The eight speed isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Definitely less clunky than Toyotas and I'm a huge Toyota fan. Ergonomics are good, climate control buttons are easy to use and familiar to most drivers. However I will say that the steering wheel controls are oddly placed and I found myself constantly hitting the "Resume" button to increase my speed instead of that actual increase speed button. They really should flip flop those controls. The audio in this car is just ok at best. Doesn't really get as loud as it should but the bass/treble/mids are just fine for most people. Good amount of storage in the door pockets and the center armrest is big enough for most items although it is an odd shape and has no USB's built in (at least on the lower trim). The smaller head unit is just fine, apple carplay worked well and there was no lag that I could remember while using it. Seat comfortable was phenomenal for a smaller car. I really was impressed at how well the seats kept us comfortable for such a long drive. Fuel economy was also very impressive. Averaged about 42-43 on our first 5 hour drive and according to the built in gauge (not 100 percent accurate obviously) we avergaed 51.7 on the way back. Drove over 330 miles and wasn't even at half and for a small 13.2 gallon tank that is incredible. Overall this seems like a solid car and being slightly biased against VW and most of the german brands, I will say that after driving it I was really impressed. It strikes a good balance between power and fuel economy while also feeling slightly more upscale than a Corolla or a Civic.
