2017 Volkswagen Passat consumer reviews

Loved this car all the way until recently this year. I have 30k on the car i bought in Dec 2016 and now it is breaking down. From the display for car app freezing or turning off, from issues with the ABS, ACC Traction control, the sensor for front end collision or back up safety, everything involving the tech package. When even i brought my car in they always said it was performing as it should. 1 month ago my battery was cracked and they replaced it but the problem just showed up today again while i was driving home. My warranty just expired 2 weeks ago and now my car is having multiple and expensive problems it seems. Are they trying to recover from their Diesel gate?

I hate this thing. The only reason why I bought it was because it was $7k off MSRP ! I couldn't resist. I've had two flat tires, warning lights going off randomly, and the most unsafe thing is its automatic emergency brake. It's gone off twice when it shouldn't have and I'm incredibly lucky it didn't cause an accident. Repairing this car is as headache if you don't live near a VW dealership. The parts of this car is very specific to VW, so there's really no aftermarket sector that makes these products. You have to get pretty much everything directly from VW.

I had in mind I wanted a Volkswagen Passat when we rented one on a European trip years back. I test drove a couple of other cars but settled on the Volkswagen Passat and have been very pleased I did. I purchased the Volkswagen Passat in November of 2016 and have enjoyed my car for 3 years now!!

I was surprised at how sporty this car is. It has all the technology I wanted with a great design. I’m really pleased with my new purchase.

Had been driving a sports for the last 10 years and believed nothing else could compare. Boy, was I surprised. This car has guts! The interior and exterior craftsmanship is superior. It is classy and sporty at the same time with very clean lines and not over done like some top end cars. The comfort and ride is exceptional and a pleasure to drive. I would definitely recommend this car to friends and family.

Well VW got spanked with the emissions scandal, however it did not change the fact they make great cars. I feel the bad publicity allowed me to get a better car at a lower cost. I have all the amendaities of a higher price car at a great price.

Am I glad I went to Wellesley VW and got to meet Andreas. With my credit rating I was very uncertain of finally getting own a VW Passat. Andreas was a whole lot more positive than me. Not only he was a salesman but he made me feel we have known each other and in turn made a friend. 5 star rating is not enough for Andreas, Rami (finance manager) and Wellesley VW. There should be 5 more starts up there. Andreas, and Wellesley VW will give you what you want for your trade-in and how much you can spend on your next purchase and you will get a great car with great price sold to you by a great guy.

This car has everything that I want and nothing I don`t want. Trying to get a package with just basic leather seating and larger rims was impossible with all VW competition without spending $1000`s more for options I didn`t want. VW gets me

This car was 18 months old when I bought it. A lot of bang for the buck (under $17000). Turbo, 4-cyliner great fuel economy at 32mpg.

One of the best vehicles I have owned. I have always been a Volkswagen fan. I have owned a few Passats and they have never let me down. Very reliable vehicles. Never caused any major problems. Would definitely recommend everyone A Volkswagen at least once in their life.
