Horrible never again
Will never buy a VW ever again this vehicle was an absolute nightmare. 1000kms after warranty everything started going. All regular maintenance was done before but that didn't prevent anythif

Worst Car I Have Owned as of Yet
I haven?t even owned this car for a year yet. I bought it from a dealership and everything looked good came with history and service reports and passed e-check. So far I have spent $900 in about 6 months. All engin failure problems. This car has the worst reliability ever. It goes from performing like a brand new car one day to leaving you completely stranded the next. This car is nothing but engin problems and electrical problems. Also if you live somewhere with winter like I do (OH) all the engine problems come out during cold weather. I literally have to turn it on about 30 minutes before using just to try and prevent more engin failures. I had a 2002 Honda Civic with 200,000 miles on it. Most reliable car I have ever had. I totaled it twice and with all that in mind it never left me anywhere not to mention it cost less than half of what I paid for the piece of junk I currently own. It?s clear that Wolkswagen is inferior to many other brands. NEVER AGAIN, I am now afraid of all European cars.

Sleek looking money pit"
I've owned my VW Tiguan since 2010. It looks so nice and is fun when it is functioning properly... at 40,000 miles. My turbo went out and i brought it back to the dealership that I paid an extended warranty for and they fought me about it. They ended paying for it. My engine light has been turning on and off for the 4 years with cylinder misfires. No one knows what's wrong with it. The sun/moon roof does leak and I have lovely stains on the ceiling of my car because of it. I've had wires break and constantly have to repair this car which is expensive. All mechanics have told me to trade it in before it breaks down more because it's not worth the price.

Some issues
The car needed an oxygen sensor, brakes and rotors, and has a small oil leak that I haven't figured out yet. The parking brake is electronic and failed. These are all somewhat minor things, but can be a real headache and wxpensive if you can't fix them yourself. You need some specialty tools to work on the car, but that's typical for most newer vehicles. The car performs and handles well and can be fun to drive.

no way these ratings are real
Owned 09 Tig for 4 years. Have put over 5 thousand CDN into it - it is now a German paper weight at a garage. How do i hate it? Let me count the ways...three times for out of warranty leaky roof drains...over $1200 total every other spring when freeze/thaw season comes around. Turned car into an expensive child's pool inside. Nav system went year 3...didnt even go there to fix that.... Over $1000.00 on new starter install - since they have to drop engine to replace - same goes for $800 to replace/get at $30 gasket seal. Currently....timing chain went because of plastic inside the design...bent shaft...at $3000.00 currently and still in pieces at mechanic's garage. I cant even look at it - not only bc its in a garage...but because i hate it so much. While there...replaced water pump that was already failing. All maintenance up to date, expensive Euro-synth oil changes on the date...evil. Avoid this year /model at all costs...It was not ready for the market.
