How all cars should be.

Let me start by saying I love this vehicle. With today?s technology and innovation playing a greater role in our daily lives, it?s been frustrating to step into a car that does not share these same luxuries. With the XC90 that is no longer the case. Finally there is a vehicle that is beautiful, safe and intuitive. The thing that frustrates me the most with most cars is the lack of forethought and the clunky proprietary systems they employ. With XC90, everything is at your fingertips. Where it should be. No guessing. No frustration. Updatable like or smart devices. This vehicle assimilates perfectly into our digital lives.

Most "bang for your buck" car I have ever owned

There is plenty of leg room in the car. I was deciding between the Range Rover Sport or the Volvo XC90, but the reliability of the XC90 and interior styling outweighed the Range Rover.

Going against what we know as Volvo.

This vehicel has singlehandedly reshaped what I know about Volvo. This is the most luxurious vehicle for it's price, no question. Performance wise, it is nothing to look down upon. Its turbocharged and supercharged engine is more than enough to get from A to B. The only reason one would not consider buying this car when looking for something in its class is that it is a four cylinder engine. The exterior it is good looking, not drool worthy. The technology within the car is borderline perfection. The television sized display has no lag, whatsoever, and in my opinion, is much more enjoyable to use than Tesla's display. The car has plenty of storage, no, more than plenty of storage, and can easily transport you and your luggage to and from airports, on roadtrips, etc. The second row has plenty of space, both head and leg room, and my 6'6 high schooler fits absolutely fine. The third row, although rarely used by my family, seems to be well suited for younger children. Overall, if you slapped a Rolls Royce badge on the front of this car, it would cost you $340,000.

Very Nice with Some Issues

This is a very nice car. I own the R-Design with the Adaptive Air Suspension and the drive modes are awesome. One complaint I do have is that After a few months the left backseat began to squeak every time it was upright or my son sat in it. The brakes also began to squeak. The Sensus tablet-like infotainment is quite intuitive, but it takes a few minutes to load after you start the vehicle. My wife did not know this and tried to start the A/C and it froze up, making us stop the car and restart it. Overall, it is a very nice car with some minor quirks.

X- C90 R Design Overpriced Plastic Garbage

I have owned a 2016 XC90 R Design for 11 months. Vehicle has major issues with performance, software, air intake , breaking systems, tires and sunroof. Replacement tires, Pirelli is the only manufacturer of tires for XC90 20" rims. Replacements are expensive, and because vehicle is front wheel drive, it eats through tires every 10,000.00 miles. Braking issues, emergency breaks engage when driving down the road, have had several times where the breaks have engaged rendering the vehicle uncontrollable , and almost flipping the vehicle, I was driving at 60 mph when the brakes engaged. Software system - vehicle is entirely run by software that never updates and is always flashing and not working properly. Several times this happened on expressway you cant tell how fast you are going and steering of the vehicle is limited. Air intake has come disconnect on vehicle several times, having to tow it into dealership for new clamps to be put on. Sun roof rattles , sounds like its going to fall in on you when you drive it. I would not buy this vehicle, it is $60,000.00 hunk of plastic garbage, no quality all plastic, software is horrible, and Volvo's response to fix problems is to give you excuses that are not relevant to the route cause of the vehicles problems. It such as shame because its a very sharp looking car, quality of finishes and overall vehicle is a nightmare.

I love this car

I love the 2016 XC90. It's the fourth Volvo I've owned, and my favorite. So comfortable. 20K miles on it, and no issues yet. It's beautiful and I always get complements on it. The entertainment system is a bit non-intuitive and can be buggy, but once you get use to it, it's OK.

Good Car

Very reliable, looks pretty good, and has some power behind it. Pretty fuel efficient for its size and power. Overall great family car, but it's also expensive, so not for everyone.
