Awesome experience finding the perfect SUV!

When my wife and I decided to start looking for a newer vehicle for our growing family, we turned to apps likes cars.com to see which dealers in our area had what we needed. We had some pretty specific requirements: we needed a third-row SUV with low miles, a usable trunk, adequate leg room, decent features, a clean carfax, and an affordable payment. We were trading in a fully loaded 2011 Chrysler Town and Country Touring-L, and wanted something comparable, but in SUV form. There were literally hundreds of vehicles and dealers to choose from. It's always a bit daunting to narrow down the list to the handful that are the cream of the crop. We initially set our sights on a Mitsubishi Outlander at Fairfield Volkswagen. But after looking at the vehicle in person, we decided it simply wasn't going to work for us (just not enough room.) Greg Webb introduced us to a Ford Flex and a 2013 GMC Acadia. I really liked the Flex, and my wife fell in love with the Acadia. Unfortunately, after running the numbers, we decided that the Acadia was just a little out of reach, and more than we were prepared to spend. We left disappointed and continued our search - looking at what felt like 50 other vehicles at 25 different dealers. All the while, Greg and Ron at Fairfield Volkswagen were working tirelessly to find us a vehicle that met our needs, and would be better fit from a numbers perspective. They called us every day, and presented several options. They continued to crunch numbers to find something that would make us both happy. No matter what we looked at, it just seemed to pale in comparison to the Acadia. We kept working with Greg, and after a week or so, we were ultimately able to get the numbers where we needed them to be, and purchased the Acadia on Thursday.
