Over the years I've purchased a lot of cars. My experience with Richmond BMW Midlothian was very positive. Charles Armstrong offered the perfect example of how to treat a serious car buyer, especially when I live two hours away. After my initial contact, he responded within minutes. I told him the inventory stock number of the car I wanted, and said I would buy the car from the dealership that gave me the best price and was honest with me. He sent me a detailed sheet of the numbers. I was surprised that BMW Midlothian could compete with the pricing of the dealers in Northern Virginia and Maryland. They did! Also, my car was in excellent condition, and they gave me a fair price for my trade-in on my 2014 BMW X3. The staff is very professional and doesn't use high pressure tactics that some car dealers do. In short, they respects their customers. If you're going to buy a BMW definitely contact BMW Midlothian first. Oh, and be sure to ask for Charles Armstrong. You'll be glad you did.

Surprised and delighted by the practicality and style of this vehicle at the entry point of the BMW X line. Lively 4 cylinder turbo shines in high altitude. X-drive performance in heavy snow better than most, including other BMWs. Exceeded expectations for CUV with usable interior space and passenger head room.
It was a great experience! Would recommend absolutely to others! Although I didn’t purchase my vehicle from this dealership, the prices were extremely fair and the people kind. I only didn’t buy the car from here because I was too far away and I didn’t get a chance to test drive the vehicle that I wanted.

Previous car was a BMW M3 and it was a terrific car before the security system went out after the warranty expired. My wife loves the X1 because it drives like a car and has good storage. No issues except needed new tires and the sunroof headliner needs to be replaced at my expense even though I purchased the extended warranty. Car is parked in a garage at night and during working hours.
I have been buying cars for a very long time. I have dealt with many stereotypical car guys and I have never met a sales professional like Chris Anderson! Why this guy isn’t in management somewhere I don’t know!

This car is great for a couple or single person but is a bit too small for a family. It handles well in all conditions.

A fun, smaller less expensive BMW

We found it to be a sporty, fun car to drive. We did not like the braking assist as it hindered us when passing cyclists. We wanted lane assist and BLIS but it did not have that so we went with Volvo.
I was in need of a new car as mine was on the brink of breaking down, I contacted the dealership and Tim, Steve, Pam, and the rest of the gang over at Richmond BMW worked hard to get me into a vehicle to fit my needs and budget. They were all very professional and kind. I feel confident I made the right choice and will refer anyone looking for a new or used BMW to look them up

This car is so stylish and drives great! It’s a 4WD which will be great for the winter. It’s also great with gas. I am very happy with it so far!
If you're like me and I dread going to buy a car, especially a used car, go see Antoine. Low pressure, polite, and you can tell he's just a good man. He let the car do the talking and let me make the decision. Gave me plenty of time and space, held the car for me for a day while a made my decision, and made the buying process easy once I made my choice. I would definitely go there again!

BMW makes a great product. What many may not know is they loose value at an incredible rate. I purchased a used X1 last month. This one is 3yrs old had 21k miles and was priced at 22k. The list price only three years ago was 49k. While someone else took the depreciation hit I was able to take advantage of the loss and get a great value. I am averaging 30mpg and it’s fun to drive. Has all the bells and whistles of 2015 model year. I will say the back seat leg room is the only real complaint but with that being said it’s the smallest X series so that’s to be expected
I highly recommend anyone looking for an awesome value to look at this model as well as any other model. You will not be disappointed with car or the value of one when purchasing one that is 3-4years old. Again BMW makes a great product. This is our third BMW and they have all made it comfortably past 100k with only routine scheduled maintenance and the usual repairs/replacement of wear items. Brake,tires,wipers

Steve Lerner was extremely helpful and service oriented. He went out of his way to get me in and out when I purchased my 4 Series. He has been very responsive to any concerns/issues and I would recommend both Steve and the Richmond dealership to anyone! I should also note I live in Fredericksburg and new to the area. I tried another dealership that was closer to me and they were horrible. I had a mechanical problem and drove the extra distance to Richmond and now wouldn't got anywhere else. Monty

My first expensive car and I hated it. Suspension felt cheap, technology was horrible and the interior was not comfortable at all. Charged for every extra. Also the dealership was not nice - BMW Freeport NY - salesman handled a few customers at same time and just kept us waiting and waiting and waiting.
Nice vehicle*. Quick process. Mr. Quaintance greeted me with a (real) smile & took time to answer questions, also to explained things in simple (non-salemans') terms ! The original Battery failed, however, it was quickly and cordially replaced. The Finance dept., staff was cordial & polite, however, more intricate "details" of the contract could be explained more thoroughly. In spite of the few minor "quirks", I would recommended this dealership to others.
BMW's have Design Issues

You'd think a company like BMW would have a handle on what works for their customers. I owned a 2015 BMW X1, and then purchased this new (redesigned) version. This new one has lots of issues that make the car very uncomfortable to drive.
The standard seats are not long enough and don't support your thighs very well. I'm 6'0 but not particularly big. This has been an issue on longer trips.
The cupholders are unusable buried in the front console. The 2015 model had easy to use cupholders.
BMW STILL doesn't support Apple CarPlay. I will not buy another car without it.
The GPS system is several generations behind the good ones like Garmin or even my iPhone. Directions are often wrong, traffic updates are slow to provide any alternatives, and the arrival time estimate is often wrong by a great deal. My iPhone gets it right all the time.
Finally, the tires provided are "run-flats". They are very hard riding tires, and they wear out very quickly (my current front tires were shot after 12,000 miles!). Replacements are expensive, and you can't get "regular" tires because there is no place to put the spare!
I worked with Jan from Carvana- she was able to explain to me the process, make sure I was comfortable with where it was at, was able to be reached and kept communication open. The pick up process went smoothly and I was able to sell my car without any glitches.

After visiting several of the typical dealerships I walked away confused and Unsatisfied. After visiting Carvana.com I picked out a vehicle to my liking and price point fill out the paperwork got approval I had my new vehicle delivered to my front door. Most typical dealerships you spend half a day walking away with an overpriced vehicle in an overpriced interest-rate. I have owned many BMW's over the years and they never cease to put a smile on my face. The build quality, engineering, and performance are top notch. My only regret is that BMW now uses run flat tires and while I've had them on other BMW's, I still don't like their ride comfort.
Please call before go there. Many car isn't longer available once I arrived. Very busy on the weekend.

I absolutely love this vehicle. It’s stylish, gorgeous and performs well! It has excellent extra features. The only real negative (which is apparently something BMW took awhile to figure out) is that the radio doesn’t have regular Bluetooth capabilities for playing music. Considering I have a 2015, I would certainly expect they would have set that up but luckily I was able to set up SiriusXM. Otherwise, the car is a dream!
All of the staff were wonderful and very friendly and professional. The buying process was delightful and easy. Would highly recommend to others looking for an Acura.

I’ve always driven a small sedan and thought SUVs were big and hard to maneuver. On the recommendation of our ’car guy,’ I drove this and I love it! Drives only slightly more ’trucky’ than my cars and has great room, is easy to maneuver; super comfortable!
