Ford had a great idea in the C-Max hybrid. So many places we travel don’t have the plug ins for electric. We have many trips with 40+ to 50 mpg. Ford missed the mark when they discontinued manufacturing the C-Max. Bring back the car and make us look toward the future !

This is my first hybrid and is also my first Ford. In the past I've had many cars including an indestructible Honda Civic. This review will "compare" with the Civic because the Civic left the biggest impression on us for great reliability and cheap parts. The reason I gave the review 4 stars for reliability is because I had a minor coolant leak (a rusted hose clamp) and Ford charged me $250 to fix the hose clamp. I never had any problems with the Civic we used to have and if we did it was ultra cheap to fix it. Besides the minor problem the Ford C-Max has been great!!! I absolutely Love the high ceiling in the C-max. My head has plenty of room and I'm 6 feet tall. Much more room than the Civic. The Civic had 140hp and this Ford has 188hp, so its much faster than the civic! Also, The C-max costs me $35 in gas every TWO weeks!!! The last two cars I had I was spending $25-40 in gas in one week! So its faster, better gas mileage and more spacious and roomy than pretty much any car I've had lately. So far my experience with my first ford is very good. I like the style, the space inside and the comfort. I got the SE model instead of the Titanium so it doesn't have some bells and whistles. Overall I really enjoy the C-Max. I'm one of the very few people who thinks it looks cool. As for my future purchases... Ford is now on my radar!

The only problem is electrical. I never was told many things from dealership and also never received charging cable. I have 65000 miles and keep up regularly with maintenance. Code reads a fault code and now I have to pay for a diagnostic check. Why????

I drove 500 miles to pick this up. This is the best car I’ve ever had. I drive with jackrabbit starts and get 38+ mpg. Very peppy and handles great.

I'm 6' and over 80 so do not bend well but can get in and out of this car without banging my head as I do in my Fusion. Mileage is great. Around 39 mpg. Have had no issues with the car so far. Main complaint I have with the manufactures is not supplying hybris with spare tires. They should at least ship them with "run flat" tires. My replacements will be as this is an issue.

This 2013 c-max hybrid has absolutely stood the test of time , unexpectedly driving excessive miles daily for years without having any mechanical problems, we did replace worn tires and always kept up with the recommended sevice maintenance by Ford. I am really impressed by this lil car. Now being sold to continue driving a hybrid car. I defiantly would recommend the c-max.

Purchased in 2017. I love my 2015 Ford Cmaxx, sad Ford does not still make them. I avg 40/43 mpg. It is comfortable for me to drive and to get in and out of. Love the hatch that allows me to loads many things for road trips. Fun to drive and it hugs the road. There is a learning curve on breaking that charges the battery, however it didn't take long. One of my favorite cars that i have owned. I will not trade it. So far no problems. I do have regular checkups and maintenance at Ford dealership where I live.

All the advantages of an SUV (You sit high; lots of interior room extremely easy entry and exit) and none of the disadvantages. My prior car was a 2013 Focus HB. This car is built on the same frame but you sit high, far more interior space, and better mileage. I bought used '13 with 80K miles. My best mileage has been high 30s, not the figures I see from other reviewers. But love the car and would get another in a heartbeat. Whatever prompted Ford to discontinue it (cheap gas?) is beyond me, but there will be plenty of good used ones around if/when mine gives out.

Had the C-Max Hybrid for about a month, and overall it's been a joy to drive. A real all-purpose vehicle that routinely achieves 35-40 mpg in the city, the primary reason we sought it out was it's amazing visibility. Our 6'-5" teenager has not problem getting comfortable behind the wheel, and I've never driven a vehicle that has such great viewing angles - you almost feel too exposed while driving! The regenerative brakes are typically more sensitive than regular brakes, but overall I have only praise for this very versatile little car!

She is the one who sends out the registration information and does the title work. Bought the truck on Tuesday and had my packet in the mail on Friday! So freaky fast she might surpass Jimmy John's! I own a 2014 CMax, gas mileage is the best! I average a tank of gas every 2-3 wks, drive it every day for work and errands. This is the best car I have ever owned. Fabulous on gas mileage, easy to handle, spacious. I never thought I would be happy with a hybrid but it was a decision for the better. I recommend the CMax to everyone I know looking for another car. The best value for the money, well worth the purchase.

PROS: Very good on the mpgs (although nowhere near the original estimates, in our experience) and has a LOT of zip! It's just an easy-to-drive, smooth, and quiet vehicle. We love the amount of interior space too, especially with the back seats down. Front seating is quite comfortable although feels like a mini-van, which surprised us at first... but you get used to it. CONS: Ford's Sync dashboard system on this model is just abysmal, and climate controls also behave un-intuitively. Car is an excellent driver most of the year but very poor on snow and ice; the smallest amount of sleet and ice can completely immobilize the vehicle on our rolling gravel driveway. Braking is very powerful and difficult to modulate—sometimes a gentle tap will throw passengers forward! Oil changes are a pain in the neck due to the large, cumbersome under-panel that has to be removed.

We purchased this car new and have absolutely loved it from the start. Actually, for awhile we had his and hers models. I am a sales rep, so lots of driving for me highway and around town. The C-Max fits the bill! I was hit in the back and traded mine on an Escape titanium hybrid that I also love. My husband’s CMax now has 139,000 miles on it. We’ve replaced shocks, brakes and tires. Thats it. It’s just an incredible car and we can’t be happier with it. We use it for vacations and golf because it’s so roomy. He goes to Home Depot and loads it up because when you fold the seats down there is a ton of room! He has fit 8 ft boards into it. The brakes are very responsive, but if you tap or press lightly you’ll be fine. We found that it is good in the rain and wet driving as well and that’s a real plus. No electrical or phone pairing issues EVER. Ours pairs like a champ! I can play YouTube all day long if I want to or talk to clients. If Ford kept making this amazing little car I think we’d keep purchasing the same model again and again. We average right around 40MPG with it. My Escape is wonderful, but we can fit more into the cmax if we need to. It’s also easy to park and has great pick ip on the highway when you need it. It’s such a wonderful car!

Experience was actually with the Leikin Volvo side of the building, and my wife and I were pleasantly surprised and very satisfied with the level of service, the professionalism and the friendliness of all the staff. We were out of town buyers that drove a long way to get there, and when we did our eventual CPO XC90 was sitting all cleaned up, very presentable and exactly as described. Ford has given the hybrid world a shot in the arm! The C-MAX is a stylish alternative to more established players like the Toyota Prius. The Ford C-Max Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder hybrid engine, combined with a lithium-ion powered battery, that produces 188 hp and 129 lb-ft of torque. This means when you are accelerating from a stop or moving at highway speeds, the C-Max Hybrid feels zippy. It also smoothly transitions between gas and electric power. The C-Max Hybrid rides firmly but also feels smooth on most road surfaces. It has responsive steering, a composed ride, and strong brakes. With all this zip and responsiveness, you still get an EPA estimated 44 mpg in the city, and 41mpg on the highway! These estimates are only topped, and slightly, by the Toyota Prius v’s.
