Used 2024 Honda Pilot for sale near Hickory Creek, TX

The whole experience with the buying experience initially was a 10/10, however there was a mishap but was quickly fixed and ultimately I am very happy with my purchase. After almost 180,000 trouble-free miles with our 2015 Pilot and an excellent Honda dealer near by, we really didn’t look hard at anything but another Pilot when it was time for a new car. Our EXL, purchased in March 2024, just turned 20,000 miles. We have had no issues with it, and the trip computer says we have averaged 27.1 mpg over the last 5500 miles. That is about 4.5 mpg better than the 2015. The good: It is extremely roomy and comfortable, even the third-row seats. We are very pleased with the fuel economy for a vehicle of this size. The headlights are the best we’ve had on any vehicle. I really like the rugged looks, especially compared the the previous generation. It’s great on snowy and slippery surfaces. The not-as-good: This is my first vehicle with all the modern safety aids. I find the lane-departure system annoying, especially in construction zones. The first time I backed out of the garage with bikes on a hitch-mounted carrier, the car automatically slammed on the brakes so hard I thought I ran into something. (Pro tip: Use tow mode when hauling bikes.) I don’t use the adaptive cruise control because it starts matching the speed of the vehicle ahead long before I would normally change lanes to pass, even with the system adjusted accordingly. However, I can’t see that future vehicles will have FEWER of these features, so I suppose I will just have to get used to them.

We arrived a few minutes early but received a quick check-in and were finished and back in our vehicle 57 minutes after our appointment time. The van had been washed and protected by plastic during the service. Levels were checked as refilled as necessary and our fob and tire locks were replaced properly. We even had coffee and water available in the clean and quiet waiting room. We appreciate scheduling online and bring services in a timely manner and will continue to use Toyota of Plano to keep our van in top notch condition.

Overall, the Pilot is a great vehicle. However, it gets less MPG than my 2020 Ridgeline RTL-E. Also, going uphill, the Pilot sometimes downshifts a little hard. This is a common occurrence among Pilots. I only have about 3500 miles on it. The interior controls are varied, but they are harder to manipulate than my Ridgeline. However, the vehicle seems to operate and drive comfortably. I do have a Touring and not an Elite. The difference in price was not necessary as my wife and I do not use ventilated sears. Would have liked the HUD though. For what I paid for the Touring, it was worth it.

Ali always takes care of my car and me! Regular maintenance and oil change, in and out in 2 hours. They have a comfortable waiting area that is quiet and peaceful. I trust their service department 100%!
