I found the car I purchased on carguru.com. I clicked the "contact dealer" button on the carguru app to learn more about a specific vehicle. I received an email within 10 minutes (on a saturday afternoon/evening) from Ourisman and shortly thereafter scheduled a test drive for the following day. When I arrived, Ralph Bowen greeted me and already had the car out front ready to look at and test drive. He gave a great presentation/run down of the vehicle, we went for a test drive and he answered all of my questions. I never felt pressured to purchase the entire time, and I initiated the conversation to talk about pricing/financing/trade-in value; Ralph never pressured me into it. I was offered $2700 less than kelly blue book value for trade in (selecting "average" for my vehicle condition and "trade-in" opposed to "private seller" or "dealership seller." ). We were able to negotiate an additional $500 to the trade in, but that was still $2200 short of what the KBB trade-in value predicted. (My old vehicle is already listed for sale on their website with a $5200 profit margin for the dealership; $14,500 trade in value, listed now for $19,721). I am only including my specific numbers to help others in their decision making. The price of the vehicle I purchased was at least $1500 lower than any other nearby dealership, so I decided to just accept the trade-in value figuring I would be hard pressed to get another dealership to beat the overall price anyways. Plus, I work 70 hour weeks and don't have time to hop around from dealership to dealership. Overall, the experience was pleasant and I would recommend this dealership to anyone.
