Snow commuter
I've been driving for 43 years now and have owned an array of different vehicles, however I've never been financially fortunate to purchase a luxury model - until now! I was looking for a mid size vehicle that would check many boxes for my snowy Michigan commutes, along with distant travel comfort to and from my cabin and some towing capacity. I have only had this for roughly 1500 miles and wow.. My first impression was luxury. So many base options included in a mid sized and mid priced SUV that pleasantly surprised me. Secondly was the ride quality. Both smooth and quiet and handling. I've read other reviews discussing power inadequacy, but not at all. Plenty of passing and get tup to speed power. Next was the snow. I have Michelin defender tires and wow - what have I been missing? The snow 4x4 duaratac features combined with these tires make this a beast in the snow, slush and rain. It definitely gives me a much more safety reassurance while driving in these conditions. I have not tried the towing yet and have not had any "reliable" issues to report, but we are very fortunate with our pick and one very capable snow commuter.

The 2 girls in sales are AMAZING.
The 2 girls in sales are AMAZING. They really know their stuff! I'll always go to CarToyz!
Make the Two Hands on Wheel feature stand a lone.
I HATE is the warning 'Place Two Hands On Wheel' as it goes off even when I have both hands on the wheel - No matter where I place my hands on the wheel it goes off. Since it is connected to the Lane Departure feature in order to not have to hear a constant warning alarm for Two Hands on Wheel I have to turn off the Lane Departure feature (which I love).

Let's be honest with ourselves, the average interaction
Let's be honest with ourselves, the average interaction with a dealership is okay at best. You go in hoping to not be raked over the coals and are made to feel like you are inadequate in the process. I'm one of those crazy people that actually looked forward to haggling with the dealership. I looked at new vs. used, knew what I wanted, knew what I was going to spend and knew I WOULD NOT pay for additional add-ons that I didn't ask for. But guess what happened? My wife found a listing (yes dear, I made sure the internet reviewers know who actually found it) for a 2023 Tundra with all the packages I was looking for w/ 2K (!) miles on it, all for below what I hoped I would get at a standard dealership even after a 8% cut on MSRP. It was in that range of borderline great price that set off the alarm bells in my head. I looked at reviews online and the majority were about a family owned business, easiest buying experience, but yet, I was still unsure. I sent them an email asking for out the door pricing. I gave them a call on the way home from a business meeting before I had a chance to check my personal email and decided my call with them would be the deciding factor on whether or not I went and looked at the truck. Andrea transferred me over to Zack who gave me a rundown on the truck, how they got it, why it was such low miles, etc. I then asked him about the business and what it was they did. He explained they were a family owned business who did a lot with leasing vehicles and usually had a small amount of vehicles on hand to sell after they were turned in after the lease terms expired. We then discussed pricing and I was pleasantly surprised to hear that not only was their documentation fee half of what other dealerships were, they weren't trying to hide any additional fees in the price either. Truck price, taxes, title and registration and documentation fee. Done. All this in a ten minute call. Good luck getting that at any other dealership. I let him know I would be in the next day and look at the truck and would make a decision if I wanted to move forward. I spent months researching trucks, trims, packages, negotiating tactics, etc. In the back of my head, I still wanted to try and negotiate a price, figuring there *might* be a little wiggle room. You know what though? My interaction with Portner Motors was HANDS DOWN the easiest vehicle buying experience I have ever had. They made the entire experience easy from beginning to end. It was at that point I realized the deal was good enough as advertised and the experience we received from them was worth whatever extra I could try and negotiate the price down. When I showed up with my wife to take a test drive, Andrea handed me the keys. When I asked if she was going with us she's like "No, the road goes straight for a while here and there are some side roads if you want to try different roads. I'll be here when you get back." We drove around for ten minutes and came back; I knew what I wanted, the test drive was a formality to make sure the wheels didn't fall off. The truck was immaculate and was as advertised. Andrea helped with the financing application, I was approved within minutes and I signed the paperwork with her and Zack. We were able to walk in, take the test drive, fill out paperwork and leave with the truck in a little over an hour. Good luck with that at a standard dealership. You're not going to find a better vehicle buying experience anywhere else. From the zero-pressure sales process, to the overall warmth and kindness they showed us, the Portner Motors family is all you can ever ask for. I could not have been more satisfied with my purchase process and would absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone that listens. Also, Andrea's dog Bo may be the nicest and softest cocker-spaniel you've ever met. Make sure you give him a few extra pets while your there. Just get out of the way once the printer comes on, he wants his treats!
My Jeep saved me!
Bought my first Jeep Grand Cherokee in January of 2022. I was in a wreck where another vehicle hit me and threw me off the road into a ditch. I went airborne and came down hard. It was a miracle I did not flip. All of my driver-side airbags deployed (front and back) and I walked away with minor injuries. This vehicle kept me safe and I will have another one to replace the totaled Jeep from my wreck.

So far, excellent!
So far, excellent! I live in Boston and purchased one of their cars "sight unseen". They made every step of the process smooth and easy. From my initial call, Frank (Salesperson) was keeping me updated on where we were in the process and made sure that each question was answered. The car was damaged in transport to Boston but so far they are standing behind their sale and have pledged to take care of the damaged vehicle. Hope to have a very happy ending to this adventure.
Most advanced car I’ve owned
This car has everything we need and more. 4x4, looks, performance, can be towed behind an RV. Includes sun roof, rear camera, safety braking, more. Rides great.

My wife and I visited the dealer and met with Tommy M.
My wife and I visited the dealer and met with Tommy M. Fantastic experience. He was extremely knowledgeable. He helped us find the car that was perfect for our family at a fair price. The first time I purchased a car without stress or frustration. The experience is how car buying should be.
Best Jeep I’ve ever owned
I’ve owned many Jeeps over the years and this year and model has by far been the best in quality and performance The vehicles interior is exceptional in comfort and wear.
