This is now the second optima I have owned and I have to say that I am truly impressed with how KIA has improved over the years. The leg room in this car is fantastic and it's quite comfortable on long rides. Handles nice, has nice acceleration, rides smooth, it's great on fuel, and has very few problems. The interior gets some criticism from some consumers but what I love about it is that it sacrifices flashy exotic dashboard designs for genuine comfort and space. I would argue that the value of the newer optima models exceeds that of the almighty Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. I literally love driving this car and I miss it when I'm riding in someone else's car. The only issue I ever had was with my last optima, which was a knock sensor issue. Kia fixed it free of charge rather quickly and gave me no problems at all about it. My current one has over 50k miles and runs like brand new. You can't even feel the motor running when it's idling. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for more bang for their buck and for anyone who has 1-2 kids.

I bought this car used from friend they did have motor problem but they bought it new so kia replaced motor and my daughter drove it couple years then when she graduated I took Kia and bought her new car for her and grandkids and I have been happy with it. It's my everyday car because it gets great MPG. It's got 160k miles about 50K on new motor. So far no issues just keep her up to date on oil changes and stuff. It's 1st Kia I ever owned and I would definitely give them another go if time to buy another vehicle.

Just traded in my 2013 for a 2018 with less than 18,000 miles on it. I loved my Optima and wanted another. This one is nice, but missing the heated steering wheel my other EX had. I like the looks of the cabin on my 2013 better than this one, but it’s not bad. It’s a smooth comfortable ride, good on gas and has some nice safety features. Definitely not disappointed.

Ive always purchased vehicles solely on looks and mainly performance and the 2019 Kia Optima is on my top 3, It's great in city and on highways while also looking slick and almost like a much more expensive car. Love love the Kia, I gotta hand it to the engineers on this one. Plenty of space great gas mileage and is much more then your everyday original stock filled car options. Communicated with John Leno from the Schaumburg facility online. John understood my needs and responded quickly with Jeeps to review - after a bit of humming and hawing on my part, I changed my mind to trucks. I found a truck at another facility, John had it tranferred and within 2 days my soon to be truck arrived - and it is a beauty. John was training Matt and they both demonstrated immense knowledge throughout the interaction and I appreciated the ease of communication (not pushy). I cannot comment on the financing portion of the transaction, but closing went just as smoothly with Hubert and his supervisor. WHile impressed with my transaction I was also impressed with the amount of time that was placed on the training of new employees, or employees transferring. While yes my truck need a repair on the fog lights, it is covered under their warranty, I am highly impressed with my experience. From walking in the front door, to having John take my picture of me and my truck with a giant yellow ribbon... every individual at Carmax truly made the buying and trading experience a wonderful experience. I just purchased a 2018 Kia optima from a used dealership at first I was concerned. But it only has 48,000 miles on it. Now 51,000 I always thought Kia was a girl car. But as a man. I love it. It has plenty room in the back. The car runs smoothly and I like the safety alert it gives when another vehicle is to close on you. I didn't want to drive it to work but the gas mileage is much better than my 2004 Ford escape . I've had my Kia almost a month now and I'm still trying to figure out how to work the features. Yes I recommend this car. Even if you get one with 100,000 miles on it. It would still run great

I originally bought my Optima for Ubering. It did it's job well and has great MPG. For being a base model, it's fairly equipped with a touch screen and bluetooth connection. The engine was reliable and and well-equipped for what I needed it for. Nothing besides regular maintenance was ever required.

OK, for starters this has to be world’s most misleading and diminutive review ever printed because it is simply about test driving the specified car right out of and back to the selling dealership in Rochester, Minnesota, USA. Yeah, that’s right my friends and foes, I test drove this car a few hours ago with my wife on the passenger seat up and down US Highway 52 North, inner-city driving, and all the while fooling around with buttons and controls I practically knew nothing about. That was a rush, especially when several State Patrol officers were carefully watching my somewhat erratic “maneuvers” but thankfully they let us go unimpeded. So, what about this car’s appearance, performance, comfort, price / quality ratio and the like? Who cares, right! Let me simply state that during both occasions (interspersed an hour while testing a second and a third vehicle (02 Forte FE / LX models) everything was nearly perfect except when I was fast reducing speed to exit the road but suddenly accelerated to match traffic and I felt a bump from the engine as if it did not know exactly what to do, either coast some more or speed up. This happened very fast; I then tried to replicate the same conditions somewhat to maybe better diagnose the problem but it never reoccurred. Simply put the car’s overall feel is outstanding, with abundant and notable (i.e. very useful) equipment and features galore. I am the world’s greatest copycat artist, designer, and undeclared-non-long-bearded-revolutionary-of-sorts so this particular car fits my wits beyond perfect and with unreal finesse. You want to know what else could be considered a quirk, a nuisance, and / or an undesirable trait within this ride? Well, keep asking, see if that brain finally stretches somewhat; but truthfully I have no answers for any of you. I believe there aren’t any to that idyllic question. Getting the car on the real road world in a couple days after arranging finance; my wife (who inspiringly made the decision to buy it) is also going to enjoy this little, friendly beast. They routinely say the world is filling with idiots fast; luckily, my pitiful understanding of society’s moronic situation and perceived woes should also help in this murky area: And why not, the more idiots out there, the greater chances to step up in this barren world of ours and beyond… It’s a dichotomy worth living ad infinitum, if we may.

I’ve owned a 2012 Kia Optima EX GDi 2.4L engine. Hands down, best car I have ever driven! After 8 years of daily driving and 135,000 miles later, she still handles like the day I drove her off the dealership lot. Very comfortable leather interior, that even though is years old, has not one crack or tear! Shifts smoothly, brakes smoothly and still has some get up and go when I put my foot down. Very safe car- Prior to this I owned an ‘11 Optima EX that I got into an accident in. The side and front airbags left me unscathed! All in all, I’m glad I went with Kia. You can never go wrong with that Kia reliability!

I bought this car in 2004 off the dealership lot with my first paycheck after getting hired on with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. It has taken me all across the United States. I have gotten more than my money's worth. As I approach my retirement next year, I'm shopping around for an autobody shop to restore it to its original luster. I've had 9 vehicles since I bought my 2004 KIA and none of them have been as reliable. My only complaint is I've gotten fatter and its not as comfortable to drive as my larger vehicles. with regular maintenance, and higher-grade fuel use these cars will run well over 350K miles.

this car is fast and tourqe and inf you have a manual that thing will zoom well past 120 mph and it runs beutifully and ive never had to wait on the side of the road because it broke down it has 160 whp and it shows even with 300000 miles on the odometer

We bough this car used in August from a Nissan dealer. There were some hidden problems that unfortunately the dealer did not disclose right away. Window regulator apparently are a problem with this car as well as engine burning oil prematurely. I performed a two-day cylinder soak and upgraded to a higher quality oil and the oil burning is no longer an issue. Apart from these problems, the car has been great for us. No other issues and the EX version is really loaded (it even has ventilated seats). Multimedia gets slow after being updated, be aware. But updates adds some features like, for example, lowering the fan speed when you get a call or ask to read a message. It is compatible with android auto and apple car play, not wireless but you can get one of those adapters.

There's pro and cons with this car. I love the fact that this car is very good of mileages save so much fuel , I lived in San Antonio and we drove this car with full tank to Corpus Christi its about 2 hours and half, almost 145 miles away, then we came back still have half full of a tank. My deslike about the car is the front passenger set, its kinda very low and there's no other way of adjusting it. ( Blind spot)When changing lane specially to your rare left side ,you literally turning your head making sure there's no other vehicle. Other than that??The car is good to drive.

I've had my Optima for nearly a year now and nothing bad has happened so far, in 10 months I've put on 13,000 miles; from 74,000-87,000 miles and I haven't experienced a single issue. It looks good, runs reliably, and is comfortable on long drives. However, I feel that the acceleration is a little slow but hey, I'm 19, every teenager wants fast, but I'm really happy with my Optima and I definitely recommend it!
