Needs to service cars before selling them

Second car I have bought from there and each time I had to have repairs made within a few days of purchasing. Now even not two weeks later it needs an oil change as well. Few days after I got it home I took it back cuz it needed brakes and rotors.

2018 GMC Terrain

I took my 2010 GMC Terrain into the dealership to be worked-on. It had over 180,000 miles on it and had held up pretty well but I was thinking of getting a new vehicle this fall. I found out that the engine on my 2010 Terrain needed to be replaced which made my decision for me. I asked about the 2018 Terrains they had on the lot; they had a medium price one in white. White was not one of my preferred colors but there were some good reasons to pick white, visibility to other drivers being a major one. The vehicle is a bit more comfortable than the 2010 version I owned, something of importance when considering the amount of highway miles I rack up, and the climate control system feels more capable of maintaining a chosen comfort level than the 2010. There are some down sides to the vehicle. It’s method of shifting requires pressing buttons rather than moving a shift lever of one type or another. This will take some getting used to but represents an inevitable change in technology that will have to be faced sooner or later; like smart phones or those touch screen all-in-one soft drink dispensers that are beginning to show up everywhere these days. The push-button start is a similar technological change, however, it means you can leave your key in your pocket without having to fumble it out to open the door or place in an ignition. It is almost like having a biometric security system, but not quite. A further technological change is that the vehicle’s engine will turn off when stopped at a light or for some other reason. This can conserve fuel, but it also means that the vehicle’s engine has to start again before you proceed – no more street racing from a dead stop but better miles per gallon. The ride is smooth and quiet, a major selling factor when I bought the 2010 Terrain, but in the 2018 it seems even smoother and quieter. There is a sense of being protected from the outside that makes the 2018 Terrain feel safe without even considering the various built-in safety features and On-Star coverage. While I haven’t done much more than drive back and forth to work, I am very happy with my new vehicle. Concerning the staff of the dealership, I’ve always been very satisfied with my interactions with the service department. All of the employees I’ve dealt with have been friendly and accommodating; I would recommend their services to anyone. My recent interaction with the sales staff has likewise been positive. It seemed that everyone knew who I was almost right away. I was pleased that they had the trailer hitch removed from my old vehicle so that I could see about installing it on my new one. While I wasn’t that concerned about it at the time, Mr. Ayala had the good sense to get my On-Star coverage switched over and set up my Blue Tooth phone connection before I drove off the lot. His set-up worked which I found out one night while driving when a phone call came in. It is a very nice feature. All-in-all I would have to say that my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I could have gone anywhere to look for a new vehicle, but I didn’t need to. Haley Buick GMC had the right vehicle and it has the people to help keep me on the road.

Quick and courteous service

Staff was very helpful in getting service scheduled. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Service was completed timely without delay. A small issue developed after installation of radio (loose wire), staff went out their way to apologize and to make things right. Only a minor inconvenience and does not impact my likely hood of doing business with dealership in the future.

Had a problem with dead battery. I took my car, after putting a charge on battery, enough to start car, to Owen Ford to be checked out. Mechanic, through testing, found that the battery had a dead cell. He installed a new battery in my 2013 Ford Fusion SE. Car also had a number of recalls by Ford on it, so a couple of them were corrected also, waiting for Ford to supply necessary parts, to dealer, to get the rest corrected. All done was free of charge since the car is still under warranty. This car was purchased at Owen Ford and has only been serviced by Owen Ford. I might add, Shirley Gill, the Owen Ford Service Advisor, is the greatest, not having an appointment for service, she was able to have my problem corrected and had me on the road again, in only a couple of hours. She even phoned me the next day to find out if my no start problem was fixed. To me, for her to check and make sure, that my problem was fixed, to my satisfaction, says a lot for Owen Ford's Service Department. I am confident, that what ever my service needs are, when they say, your car is ready, it really is

My last two cars prior to buying my first Hyundai in 2008 were BMW's. I bought this, a Santa Fe, to help with our move into our new home. I kept this car for over 7 years, and still enjoy driving it. No one problem. Although I did have to buy a battery a few years ago. I also bought a car for my daughter at this dealership and just ordered a 2016 Tuscon for myself. They are honest, they don't play games with prices. I wish my Lexus dealer ( wife's car ) were half as good
